Last weekend I was staying with my wife for a couple of days in San Diego at the "W Hotel".
When my arrived, my wife said..."The valets will love parking your SRT8". I told her..."Nah...these guys park Ferraris, Lambos".
Well I was presently surprised...the car atracted a lot of interest with the valets. All the valets spoke highly of it. They said the Ferraris and Lambos look nice but they are noisy and cramped and really too low a driving position for normal driving. They were really interested in the SRT and how it handled and how responsive it was. They even said they parked it on the "special floor" with the high end cars.
So I was holding my head high there.

I'm picturing Ferris Bueller's Day Off where the parking guys took that Ferrari kit out for a test beating lol.

From the looks of some of the valet-driven rides I've seen, it's an autocross course.

I could see the entrance/exit from the valet parking area from my room....
But....they may have taken "the long way around the block" to bring it up front.
Plus the "W" is sort of a high end "art deco" classy hotel..a 5 star.
No brag... 'cause in my job I spend enough time staying to hotels to have built up enough "points" to be able stay free in a Hilton, Westin, Intercontinental for months. I am not spending the bucks the rooms are free. These are 350 a night rooms.

There aren't any cars parked on the "special" floor. That's the floor with nothing but cones and arrows chalked on the pillars. :shok:

HAHA...interesting take on it. I'd think they get sooo tired of dealing with the public and anal-retentive high-end car owners that they grow weary of that real quick. I would. "Um, ya, I love these new Taurus's. They're sweet. What did you pay for this like 60...65 thousand"? LOL

nice...srt-8 do look pretty bad ass. I saw one last night that was hammered almost, with some rims that were almost tucked. It did look pretty sick.

Of course I tipped them well. You do that if you want ANY attention paid to how your car is cared for. Tip is directly propertional to care by most valets.

So you're telling me you came to San Diego and didn't let the SD/EC/EQ Crews know you were here. We couldv'e rumbled through valet 6 or 7 deep just for fun........

Yeh...I should have called a meet and greet. We could have given the "W" something to remember.
But it was sort of a "bonding" (or did I mean "shopping") trip for the wife because I travel more than 50% of the year and we don't get much alone time.
