interesting read...... with all the rumors that fly out of detroit, who knows.... i will say this, i do agree on their point about "down scaled" interiors...... one of my biggest pet peeves about my charger...

man I hate it when they start talking like that. Its almost like high school drama, Chrysler doesn't have to tell them anything since they're private now and so that start talking smack. I agree with Chris on the interiors as well but I never was impressed with any of the other cars on the market.

I have mixed thoughts about bashing the interior. I've looked at my charger interior, specifically things that are in poor shape on my Impala after 9 years and 212K. And while not the most luxurious, I would gladly trade "style" for something of decent quality and longer wearing.

My drivers door panel on the SS has been cracked into pieces for several years now (and discontinued from GM even longer), I don't see my charger door panel having issues unless there is nuclear weapons involved. Then again the lesson learned might be that I don't stay in the same daily driver for 9 years again, especially with some of the cars coming out 2009+

as far as the article goes, I find it funny when the press rips on companies when they do the exact things they were previously criticizing them for NOT doing. We always hear how the big auto companies are so slow to change, unable to make fast decisions on simple things, and here they are saying that the quick changes approved for the line are a knee-jerk reaction and are going to be bad.
Go rip on ford since Toyota just kicked them into 3rd place after 76 years....

ralph - my point on the interior was more from an aesthetic point of view. i have no real big issues with the quality of materials, although not the same as the previous cars i owned (bmw), it is the lack of "design" that gets me. especially the door panles. take notice of the new 08's.... much better in that regard!! but then again, i did not buy the car for its door panels!!! hehehehe

"Chrysler and Dodge buyers - older, less well-educated, and poorer than the owners of other American brands, much less the imports. Instead of trying to moving up market to attract better-heeled buyers with smarter, better-executed vehicles, Daimler decided to reach down instead."

This has to be the most retarded statements I've heard in a while. I'm offended.:tooth:

I'm with you.... the 08's look very nice, I guess my point was more how bad other cars (GM) are compared to what we have now. Of course I'm still driving both cars so when I can close my door without pulling the door panel apart it seems more magical! :muscle:

Bastages, did they just call us OLD.. and I'm only poorer because I'm making payments on an awesome machine not built by GM, Ford or any Import company. I guess they didn't do any demo research on the SRT as I seem to remember the average owner is making $80k and college edgeecated.

That's got to be the most ridiculous statement I've ever heard as well. Ulterior motive IMO. Go fn drive your Prius's jerkoffs! I am offended as well. lol!
