November 17th...I am doing the one day option from the MVP Track Time people. http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20348 Every year, for the last few years I've been telling myself I am going to do the "Flying Turkey Trot," then always found an excuse not to. Well this is the year I am actually going to do it. My wife and mom teamed up and as a birthday present, I am already registered and paid. No excuses this year! :yahoo:
So my day did not go anywhere near the way it was expected to go... Just a few pics I took from the Flyin' Turkey Trot, Saturday. I didn't take many pic's, 'cause I was in a blah mood, due to the fact that my waterpump went out after only getting in 1 of the 5 runs I was supposed to run. It was actually 6 runs on the day, but I'm not counting the 1st run, because it was just follow the leader for the Novice group, to showcase the proper line around the track. I probably wouldn't have taken any pics but for this...:rofl::rofl:Had to take a pic of that for my son...I LOVE the bumber sticker!:rofl::rofl: This was there...but it wasn't running the track. These guys were all running that day... This was just me goofing around n the morning, on my way to the track...when I was in a good mood. Here is video from my only run of the day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2VgYTGQo1w&feature=share
Well that sucks!! Great pics though. I couldn't get the video to work however by just clicking on it. I will go to Youtube direct and take a look. Better luck next time!!!
^ Weird...the video works fine for me. Thanks, I'd like to do it again, and hope for more seat time. The MVP group put on a TOP NOTCH track day! I was totall impressed, and would do it again with them in a heartbeat!
Love the bumper sticker. I know how bummed you must feel. I was at my local track and made it around the track twice and blew out my power steering bearing. Short and expensive day. Video was nice. Alteast you got to pass some cars.
Yeah, I was talking to a guy at work about it. I told him I passed a couple of Porsche's and got passed by a Ferrarri...and he laughed at me. Not sure why it was so funny, :dunno2: but oh well. It was fun, even if it turned out to be way too short.
Thanks Nevin...too bad I had to pay for them. If only I knew an award winning photographer who could have gone, and taken pics for me for free. LoL!
the hard part is getting your wife to the track LOL come on lets face it she takes better pics then you :ronlove:
