I hate electronics. POS AIN'T WORKING.
I guess I'll try mode 2 and see what happens. Need to verify TZF kit is set properly, but I double checked before unplugging the damn thing.

Either way, I'm going to the track tomorrow and test.

Scored a laptop (Yes!), going to do a new firmware upload, go to track and try different paddle modes on predator and see if I can get this gimmick to work properly. If nothing else, I set up my aeroforce gauge annuciator lights for above 6400 RPM to serve as a shift light and will run a SWS manually.

Got it figured out. Set 1-2 at 6200 and it actually shifts at 6700-6800. Set 2-3 to 6400 and it shifts at 6700-6800. Set 3-4 to 6700, no shift in the 1/4. Traps at 6200-6300 in 3rd.
Picked up a little bit of MPH. Worse conditions and close to same 60' (1.658 best of the night)
    1.658
    4.945
    7.638
    93.78
    9.949
    11.886
    117.02

Temp was 75ish and a 7 mph head wind. I didn't check DA, will tomorrow. Glad it's dialed in,
just need traction and cold air...LSD Is next.

Erik is going to smack you. :domotwak: You didn't do any logs at all did you...
and you didn't say what was wrong... you forgot to set the shift point for 3->4 and it defaulted to 5800?

    3rd @ 6200 = 122.6 mph
    3rd @ 6250 = 123.6 mph
    3rd @ 6300 = 124.6 mph

By the way, what rpm do you think the valve springs you're using are good up to?

Dave, the amount of electronic shit I went through yesterday had me to a point of nausea...no kidding.
Got home, got car ready, all my shit packed up and pulled the TZF out of the car to do some changes off home computer. (Waiting on my friend to bring me his laptop)
Had to load the ZPU software, the new firmware on there, then plug up the TZF to the computer and do my thing...midway, computer locks up...nada, nothing happenig..C+ALT+DEL= nothing. Trun off, reboot and try again, same shit...I call my wife in the room, and ask WTF is up with our computer? She says, it's been acting up...
Okay, screw it, wait on my friend with his laptop. He get there, we hook it up, download the driver, the ZPU, and the firmware...try to pull up the ZPU, "ERROR" something about a path bla bla...Soooo i delete it all and try again from scratch...same MF'in result.

Friend makes a call and borrows ANOTHER laptop...we drive there, download everything again and it takes fine, then we make adjustments for a good starting point and leave.
Did a couple test pulls on the highway and it was working well, just needed some adjustments. Never did download the Diablo software, was getting late and track is over an hour away. Was hoping the track had WiFi.

Get to track, unload, prep rears, double check settings on TZF, hook up Predator, set it up to Watch and Record....Fail, try again....FAIL, try again....works (or so I thught).

Make first pass, bump limiter 1-2, killed the run.

Come back to pit, try and watch the Log and see where it shifts, and all I logged was from pit to staging area, then it quit recording...had it face down in the passenger seat so I wouldn't be blinded by the glare, so I never saw what it was doing....was working when I left pit....When that happened, was when the nausea set in...I went to the restroom and cooled off a bit, got a cold drink, sat down and thought about it.

Made some adjustments, made a pass, made adjustments, made a pass, felt good about where and how it's behaving, and might could squeeze a few more RPM's out of 2nd, but it's fine where it's at...i'm satisfied for now.

    Aint skeeeeered a him...:bye:
Hell if I know, with the amount of electronic failures I had last night, i chalk it up to that.

So what RPM is 117 MPH

Wouldn't worry until 7000. Comp 26120 BBC intake, and Pac 1218 exhaust, Comp titanium retainers. Stock valves, guides, and keepers.

Looked up DA for last night at 8:00 pm here: http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density...94&mph=116.86&correctetmph=Correct+ET+and+MPH

    Density Altitude: 1321 feet
    Relative Density: 96.19 %

Management summary: No, I didn't take any logs.

    117 mph in 3rd == 5916 rpm

Ideally, with this setup you'd want something like a 3.33 rear end ratio and trap around 6500 rpm :)

Hey, i tried...did i mention i hate electronics. So unreliable and inconsistent. You set it up the way you want and for no fucking reason, it changes, set it again, and it remains, and again and it changes to something else...We had to have some solar flares or something yesterday...my Iphone was acting weird also, and the full moon last night was Orange, seriously!

Hmmm it was definitely past 6k when I crossed, but who knows what is accurate. Even if I had a log, i wouldn't trust it. Frustrating!!!

Was planning 3.55's when i do the LSD, may have to rethink that, and go 3.23 with a little shorter tire.
