I have noticed something different between the 08 and 06 when it comes to downshifting and wondered if this is normal and or if it can be changed to shift like the 06 did. When driving down the highway at like 75mph and I feel like hitting the gas lets say maybe someone in another car is playing with me? Anyway when i hit WOT the car will downshift but to me feels like it could go to a lower gear. This feeling always makes me hit the auto selector to try and push it to a lower gear but it will not drop down? This has happened a could of times and never did in the 06. Another ex sample would be let say i am driving at 40 mph and its in 3rd gear. I hit WOT and it drops down to 2nd I feel it should go to 1st I hit auto select and it will not go to 1st? Again on the 06 I did not have this problem? Any Ideas? Thanks in advance!
Chrysler likely adjusted the shift points to save wear and tear on the transmission? Did you have a CMR tune in the 06? If so, the tuner might have changed your shift and rev limit points to me more aggressive?
Upshif tis not the problme its the down shift that the issue. I will be getting a dyno tune today and will let them know the issue. thanks.
Yea I know, but if your shift limits are set to a certain rpm range, it won't down shift into the lower gear either.
