The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, he replied: “Man, because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hopefully I have some time to change the ending
Yeah, most of my efforts most of my life have been just to survive in spite of my condition and having something akin to normalcy, and yet most people don't even appreciate what they have.
but not all of it... part of it goes into the engine and then he experiences the thrill of going "oh shit!" fast. You already have don't go hare krishna on us... the Dalai Lama never drove a blown hemi.
I went thru a divorce and lost EVERYTHING back a few years ago and had to start everything all over....at my age this was really a chore, however I'm happy with what I have even though I'll NEVER be able to achieve what I had from the first 50 years of my life. And with all the health issues, i.e. heart disease and prostate cancer I'm very thankful to be around and I honestly have been enjoying EVERY DAY of my life NOW!
