Is there anything else I should have looked at while I'm at the dealer getting my cooling system flushed?? I've replaced EVERYTHING else up to this point, and I'm hoping today marks the end of my overheating issues. Installing a new reservoir from S&P while I'm at it. But is there anything else that could be causing this?? Would my OEM radiator on my 426 stroker not be helping cool efficiently enough?? ANYTHING else you guys can think of might be a culprit??
I doubt that your radiator would be overworked. I know you beat the crap out of your car, but i doubt you beat it that bad lol. Your not tracking it. See where your flush and new tank get ya.
If you have replaced the entire cooling system, maybe have them look at the radiator itself? You have a new tank, flushed the system, new thermostat lol Next up is looking into the motor itself i guess?
If this doesn't work, and you know for absolute certain your fans are working properly, your impeller is spinning on the shaft of your water pump, and you need a new pump. I would be shocked if that's the case though. Unless your radiator is realllllllly dirty, you shouldn't have a problem there.
Well I have a new water pump at the house, so if I need it, I have one. And my radiator is almost as clean as new lol. Thanks for the help Kyle.
No oil in the coolant and no coolant in the oil. So that gives me closure it WASNT a head gasket. THANK GOD!!!!
Stayed under 190* that whole day!!! Put about 50 miles on it, both highway AND city driving involved. You won't believe me when I tell you this, but still has one small, very minor fuel leak I'm trying to sort out, will get to it this weekend. But as of now, the temps are good. When I drive it more NEXT week, I'll really find out.
Some vaporous, multiphasic, congealing and mystifying BND fuel system additive should fix you right up Chase. Don't even mess around.
