I'm getting my rotors turned right now and I need to get some new pads. I liked the EBC redstuff but wanted to try something different. Any recommendations?

ok I'll call mon. You like EBC Ron? I had the red EBCs and they seemed to work ok but all I could compare them too was the stock pads. They also destroyed the rotors. Little over 10K miles and the front rotors had to be taken down to the minimum thickness in order to take all the grooves out of them. I assume this is typical with such a heavy car.

I'm running the satisfied ceramic pads. Have no issues with them.

I changed my stock Brembo pads at about 15k because of all the dust. Went with Posi Quiets. They produce very little dust, aren't as good at stopping, but still VERY adequate. You will notice it at first, but after a week or so, you get use to it. If you are looking for a high performance pad, stick with stock. JMO

DITTO everything he says...I changed to the Posi Quiets at 14,000 mainly for dust. I have changed them at about half worn because the brakes feel better, higher pedal etc. they are cheap enough on line I keep a set on the shelf.

Have 33,000 on car, rotors are smoth and flat, no issues with groving at all. They are wearing but still quite usable. When they get too thin, I have a set of EBC pads and rotors on the shelf to change to.

At least my rotors outlasted those crappy goodyear RSA tires!

I'm at 42k now and still on that same set..Rotors look normal here too. May be about time for a replacement.

Thanks guys, I'm hoping these last more then 10K too. The car only has 24K on it and its on its second rotors.

Hopefully they work out, I have the Centric Posi-quiets now. They're ok but I was thinking about switching to the Satisfied next.

Only bad at first during the break in procedure

I've tried MANY break pads on the jeep due to their horrible rear whine and these were the first that actually looked like a performance pad with smoothed edges and a split pad design.
I'd say these are the best I have tried.

I agree with Wade with the exception of squealing, I have never had any.

I did the front pads yesterday... Wound up getting Wagner ThermoQuiets:

    http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/we...ner_20609760-P_219_R|GRPBRCOAMS_1638276081___

Almost bought at the local Advance, but then saw them on Amazon for $44, free shipping, and a $15 rebate.

I figured if they were no good I'd take them off in a few weeks and be out $28. I have read plenty of good reviews, but only a handful from SRT8 owners. Been a day and so far so good - but I'll post a review after a few weeks.

Installed the pads today and took it out for a few stops to break them in. Seems like they seated pretty quick and the feel is already better then the previous.

OK, here is a mini follow up review. I wanted pads to install that weekend, saw the ThermoQuiets at Advanced Auto and almost bought them for $65. Decided to look for reviews online and saw them at Amazon.com for $43 and change, but with a $15 mail-in-rebate bringing them down to $28 in 8-10 weeks if all goes well! LOL

They have now been on for just over 2 weeks and 650 miles. Here is what the rim looks like with no washing since installation:

Not a great shot, but hopefully you can see it is pretty clean with slight dusting in the pockets - while they would have been dark grey by now with the original pads.

Noise is much reduced, and while there is occasional squeaking I don't know if it is from the front or the back (the backs were done in the fall by the dealer). Braking feel is much better, but perhaps not as firm as I would like - but if I have to stop quickly there is definitely no issue. I did not bed them, as in the first few days I did not have the opportunity, and after that they just seemed to work well enough!

So far, I have to say I am very satisfied!

I'll keep these in mind. I am going to do the rears soon too. The ones I just put on are breaking in well with minimal brake dust as well. Thanks for the info!
