Power steering pump? Have someone turn the wheel a bit while listening and see if it changes tone.

I wouldn't run that heavy of an oil during the winter/fall months try a 5W40 or 0W40, I run Amsoil European blend 5W40 and only get that noise at startup for a few seconds and then it goes away.

What all three of the knuckle heads said above.

Also check for an exhaust leak at your headers.

    I love that TSB...
If your oil squirters in YOUR engine make noise.... go from 0W40 to 15W15.
But the same engine next to it (size and year) doesn't make the noise????
I am surprised the TSB does not also including a part number for special stickers for your engine to now know it is a special edition that requires special oil viscosity?

Sounds like some squirters got made that were not quite to spec.

STP would probably fix it too......lol

Does Mobil 1 come in 15W50?

They all made the same noise. It's just that it bugged some people and others didn't really notice it.

I don't think the squirters were out of spec or anything. It's just that they didn't catch the fact that they fluttered at a frequency that was kind of audible. They work just fine. It's like some brake pads squeal. You have to have the hood open to hear mine but I have an engine serial number that's a little bit over that range.

Okay, where do you find the engine serial number?
