    WHAT IS THE SPRING FESTIVAL?

This a Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Challenger and Magnum event
There is no charge to attend…simply register at www.socallx.com

The Spring Festival of LX's has its roots in Southern California as an enthusiast gathering for the hottest car platform to hit the American car market in years. While our first meet in 2004 consisted of only 4 vehicles, our next few meets in 2005 quickly grew to approach 100 vehicles. Starting in 2006, we kicked it up a notch and surpassed 300 vehicles with participants from all over the US and Canada. This event has grown every year since and we now expect over 1000 vehicles for the 2011 Spring Festival.

As a community and enthusiast event, we have the tremendous support of
Chrysler/Dodge and have had many Executives from both the local Irvine office as well as Auburn Hills. This event will be the largest and greatest event to date. Pass the word on and let's show everyone who we are and have over 800 in attendance. For the latest updates go to www.socallx.com.

Why you want to attend SF6:
We are all members of the forums because of the passion we have for these cars. So we post photos of our cars, our mods and ask questions about our cars. Spring Festival is where you will see it all and meet those who help us find the answers to our questions. You can see it all first hand and talk directly to members that you have become friends with on line. You may be a senior member or a newbie, have a full blown modified car or a totally stock car, it makes no difference to us. If it will be your first event you will not believe how great the people are. If you don't bring your car we don't care, someone in the group will give you a ride. This is an experience of a life time and those who return year after year will tell you so. That's why they post and encourage everyone to attend. Hope to see you there.

Beach Burger will be on Thursday March 24, 2011 for those who will be here early and the locals. Last year we had over a 100 cars.

As of the Stats refresh I ran right around Midnight PST:

    State/Region:

We've got 11 states and 3 provinces represented by a total of 56 cars. Currently in the lead are California with 34, Utah with 6, Alberta with 3 and Arizona and British Columbia are tied at 2. There are numerous and interesting "onesies" though: Colorado, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada, Ohio, Ontario, Oregon, Tennessee and Wyoming. I wonder if we'll be having any East Coast or even overseas attendees??

    Model Types:

Chargers are leading the way with 19, with Challengers at 15, 300s at 12 and Magnums at just 9??? I'm guessing it'll get more competitive as more registrations come in. ;)

    Vehicle years:

Only four hours into registration and we have every year from 2005 to 2011 represented. Currently 2006 is leading the pack with 17, but 2009 has 11, 2007 has 8, 2005 and 2008 are tied with 7, 2010 has 4 and even 2011 has 2. Keep 'em coming. :)

    Model/Trim details:

Its a pretty even spread, with the highest number at 7 for Charger SRT8s, and out of 18 possible variants, only five are singletons at the moment. Those are the 300 Base/LX/V6/RWD, the 300 Touring, the Challenger SE G, the Magnum R/T AWD and the Other entry. Interesting and awesome. We already have two each of the Challenger R/T Classic and the Challenger R/T J, four Daytonas, and two SuperBees. Not to mention representation of just about all the possible kinds of 300s, Challengers, Chargers and Magnums.

    Colors:

Again, only four hours in and we already have a rainbow going. 16 different colors plus one Other. Right now there are a startling 20 Brilliant Black Crystal Pearls, 7 Inferno Red Crystal Pearls, 5 Bright Silver Metallics. But these were the most common colors for several years so that's no surprise. What's awesome is we already have B5 Blue Pearls (2), a Deep Water Blue, a Detonator Yellow, a Go Mango!, Hemi Orange Pearls (4), and a Plum Crazy Pearl. As well as the many shades of white and off white - Bright White, Cool Vanilla, and Stone White. Plus there's Dark Titanium Metallic, Midnight Blue Pearl (Don't call it Navy!), Silver Steel Metallic and Steel Blue Metalllic. Did I mention I love LXes in EVERY color? :)

Again this is just from the first four hours. Look for things to go crazy over the next 24-48 hours. I'll be updating stats once daily, with weekly recaps on Saturdays. It is now less than TWELVE weeks until THE EVENT. So get your gear in order and if you haven't already, REGISTER!!

I am glad it is at El Toro.
    Less traffic (or ticket) hassles.

We are too big for the "Cars and Coffee" crowd.

    Alright, tonight's Stats post:

We've added 46 more registrants since yesterday for a new total of 181!! I predict 200 by tomorrow midday. ;)

We added three states (One each from Indiana, Kansas and New Mexico) which means we now have three Canadian provinces and 18 states represented already!

The big gainer was California naturally as the home state with 40 more registrants since last night. Still, with 121 they only account for two-thirds of the attendance!

We added one more each from Arizona (12), Nevada (3), and Utah (13).

All four models added more registrants. Chargers are still out in front, adding 14 more for a total of 62, while Magnums surged ahead with 17 new registrants for a new total of 48.

Challengers and 300s added seven more each, with totals of 39 and 28 respectively.

The model years are starting to round out a little more. We had additions for all with the exception of 2011, but again, we're early in the model year. 2006s added 16 more for 55 total, 2005s and 2007s added 10 each for totals of 27 and 32 respectively.2009 added four more for 27, 2008 added three more for 24, 2010 added two more for 12 and "Other" added one more for two.

There were some modest gains in the Model/Trim combination counts. In keeping with the overall Magnum surge seen above, eight more Magnum R/Ts, five more Magnum SEs, three more Magnum SXTs, and one more Magnum SRT8 signed up since yesterday. Chargers had a good day with four more Charger SRT8s, four more Charger SXTs, two more Charger R/T Daytonas, two more Charger Super Bees, one more Charger R/T and one more Charger R/T Road/Track. 300s added four more 300C SRT8s, two more 300 Base/LX/V6/RWDs and one more 300C. Challengers added five more Challnger SRT8s, and two more Challenger R/Ts.

A lot of gains in the colors since yesterday: Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl added 14, Bright Silver Metallic added 11, Hemi Orange Pearl added four, and Other added three. Cool Vanilla, Magnesium Pearl, Midnight Blue Pearl and TorRed each added two more. Deep Water Blue, Detonator Yellow, Go Mango!, NEW COLOR Marine Blue Pearl, Stone White and Top Banana each added one to their counts.

The singletons - Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Tennessee, Wyoming, 300C SRT Design, Challenger R/T Mopar 10, Challenger SE, Challenger SE G, Challenger SRT8 IE 392, Charger SE, Magnum R/T AWD, Bright White, Dark Titanium Metallic, Marine Blue Pearl, Mineral Gray Metallic, Plum Crazy Pearl, and Sublime Metallic. How long are y'all gonna be unique??

For totals and the raw stats I'm using, check out http://www.socallx.com/SpringFestival/2011SFStatistics.aspx.

Thanks for a great opening registration weekend!! Help us get the word out this week and the coming weeks. This is the event NOT to miss!!!
