Thanks Fredrik, hope the new mods, some new rubber, and some cool oxygenated air get me a PB next time out. If I can combine my best 60' with my best MPH, I think a mid 11 at full weight is doable.
Glad you too finally made that love connection..lol BTW Kyle. How do you like the BBK?? I have heard not so good things about them?
Haha, well the love ain't connected yet, supposed to ship Monday, but yea, i've been sidelined and waiting for the best...The decision was narrowed to 2, and with all the fastest cars running LMI's and Chris being Chris...well, it became clear what to do. The BBK 85mm tb...so far, so good. Installed yesterday, so not a bunch of miles yet. Couple things noticeable: Idle jumped up about 25 RPM..was at 725-750 now at 750-800. AFR went from 1k-5k 12.4 to 13.1 and 5-7k 11.9-12.5....ide say that's significant, and I haven't touched the tune. Keep in mind, i'm currently running Trueflow drop in filter in stock airbox, with Mopar tube and elbow, with a 2.5" aluminum long 90 from the driverside brake duck feeding the stock box. Not a "bad" set up, but the LMI 4" fender mount should make some difference. My current set up has some turbulence areas I wanted to clean up, plus the carbon fiber will match very well with other stuff I have done under the hood. The issues you've heard/read about with the BBK TB's have been resolved (according to BBK Tech Support) I haven't done any cruising for extended periods to find out yet, but if/when i do, i'll post any issues I have or don't have...so far, i'm tickled pink. Some things I read were BBK is a China knock off of Arrington, limp issue with extended cruising, and side panel popping off...well, the box is marked "Made in U.S.A." the, the quality is there, and i tried to pop the side cover off and it was not happening. Limp issue, time will tell.
Cool.. When I saw BBK at Sema two years ago they assured me they were made here. But who really knows. Glad its working out. Nothing I hate to see more is someone paying for a mod that is a big POS..
It was a gift from the wife for Christmas, but yea, i paid for it really. Hope to put some miles on it soon and once I get some rubber, hit the track.
Ulricas gift to me this christmas was to make me promise not to spend any money on mods, cars or bikes... But that can´t mean I can´t mount the Quaife, or does it? I´d better not ask! A mid 11 would be darn fast, you still run N/A! Sometimes I feel I want to test the car at a track to get a time, we´ll see this summer. Fredrik:zorro:
Yup, N/A 426, full weight, with stock 20's, stock tranny, stock TCM, stock 3.06 open rear, modified/stock exhaust, modified/stock airbox....Best to date is 1.75 60', 11.90 @ 115 1/4 mile. When my Nitto DR's were new, i pulled a 1.62 60, but had tunning issues at the time in upper RPM range, so my MPH was only 110, on that run i ran a 12.0 ET...So i know an 11.5 is possible, just gotta put it all together. With the new 4" LMI, BBK 85mm TB, TranZformer - The Ultimate Shift Kit (on order) plus a set of M&H 275/50/17's on 17x9 Cobra R i'm working on ordering soon...I feel pretty confident. Good luck on the LSD install...that mod is on my "to do" list as well. I'll be going the Wavetrac route
Have a guy who is ready do mount it, I just have to pull the house out of the rear, will do mid january, no time until then. Will also fix the guages so they work properly and see if I can´t get some more air to that filter at really high speed, I want 190!!!:sly: Fredrik:zorro:
No, I´m putting them on! LOL The car won´t be out of the garage until may, so don´t worry. But ok, I´m ashamed... Fredrik:ronlove:
Popped a CEL and P0300 yesterday, and the car was feeling a lil sluggish during part throttle. I hit up Johan and told him of the addition and issues. He sent me over a new tune with airflow tables adjusted for the larger TB, adjusted the idle, and raised misfire threshold. Big difference from just bolting it on...car is a beast! Have a dyno tune session scheduled for the 27th... Hurry up and ship my intake Chris...can't wait dude!
Yeah, random misfire...I'de say relative...wasn't getting it, installed TB, and got it the next day. More air in than tables allow for in the tune, especially during WOT and decell. This happened during a decell to come to a stop. Around 2500-3000 RPM when it chimed. Johan addressed it in my latest revison. Installed yesterday eve and pounded the snot out of it...had to adjust WOT fuel a little, took it back out and pounded it some more. Breaking traction at 60 mph tells me it's an improvement. Tried doing same scenario when misfire happened, and nothing...feels great, sonds great, so I think i'm good to go...well, except for the LMI 4" intake. Once that little item and the TranZformer shift kit get here, i'll go dyno tune it to squeeze out ever bit of power I can (tweaking spark until drop off) then it's track time.
Had my company Christmas party last night. I drove the car, set cruise on i10 at 80mph (trying to see if it would limp). No problems, no CEL, no limp.
After our chrismas partys you don´t drive for two days... Good news on the "non limpmode" and CEL! Fredrik
kyle - your intake ships 12/21........ you should see it before christmas! looking forward to the results.
Lol, had my trusty designated wife driver. Although, i didn't over indulge. It was at the owners home, had to be on good behavior. :thongue2: Chris, AWESOME, can't wait to get it in and on. PM me a tracking number when you can brudda.
Received. Thanks for the swag, i'll wear it with pride. Will install this eve, car is on the rollers now getting dyno tuned. Was hoping to have this before, but oh well...Bought the 4.250" hole saw last week. Thanks for a great deal and great product Chris. Looks fantastic, and complete.
Post the sh!t up, would ya Kyle? SHeeesh, how long does a guy have to wait??? It's been on the rollers for eons
lol..bullshit...I tried once before, but had issues with my old software, had to get an update at the dealer, then start again from scratch. Johan @ Diablo has been great, and the car is a beast, but I know it has some left in it, and a few drivability issues that i;ve been having are being addressed. I really don't care what my peak numbers are, just want a perfect tune. I'll start a new thread later on.
