Haha Rick! It didn't get that bad in your mind ...did it? I definitely respect the car for what it is in every performance aspect...much like I do AMG's, M5's, rally cars like the Subaru's, Mitsu's and the like. As a preference though, I will buy a Mopar or GM over an import. But again, being raised in a big 3 city (automotive capital of Canada/and across The Motor City..Deeetroit), with Pops retired from Chrysler and Mom from GM...does, admittedly, have something to do with it. Ever see that Pinks episode filmed in Detroit. They knew what was up while they were there. Not an import in sight lol...but drive up from me about 3.25 hrs to Toronto and it's mostly all imports. So, the context does play a significant role.

Not a "them vs me" thing to me Rick...the Nissans, Toyotas and Hondas may be the best built cars in the world......I dont know cause I dont want one nor do I read about them...one reason I only get 2 car magazines now...used to get a dozen each month..now all they talk about are foreign cars that I have absolutely no interest in.......and nothing against anyone buying one or starting a thread about one....but I will make a "it's a POS post"..just because I can remember when foreign cars were cheap POS............:domotwak:

Dammit man?!! Why did you go and do that haha? Your post didn't piss me off even a little bit....even if you said, it would destroy any Mopar like the Viper or something..just discussion in my book. But if you come back and post the benefits of driving a Prius...well then....

    lol :chair:

I said it will compete with the Viper, Z06, and Porshe at a cheaper price....and then I went into a long diatribe of how the U.S. is made up of fat, lazy, pieces of shiite. I figured that would spin a few folks up so I decided not to post it!

This car will be a ricer icon.... except... none of the ricers will be able to afford it. Nissan dealers aren't aren't exactly high-end dealers, they're low-budged greasy-haired types you might find at a pontiac dealership, and they'll mark the price of this car up to a bajillion dollars, i'm guessing expect to pay 100K for it out the door the first year or two of production.

A good bang for the buck ride though, glad to see the Japs compete with overpriced euro trash.

Nothing specatular about this car at all in regards to the engine, its AWD and thats the only reason it has the numbers that it does, a 6-cylinder version of what the subaru STI and EVO X already have accomplished in the 4-banger variety for the better part of a decade.

At some point you'll see AWD in a lot more vehicles and then speed will take on a whole new meaning.

Oh, and one more thing, I can't wait to smoke one of these things in my cherokee, bwwhahahahahhahaha!

And why can't "we" figure that out here in the U.S.? "Knowing is not enough...we must apply!"

I've driven a Viper...loved it, even though I didn't like the pedal placement. I need to drive a Vette...I'm sure I'll love it. I love the AWD of the GT-R....but I don't really like the "feel" of AWD on the TARMAC. Snow and gravel is another story!

i knowhat he said.. i just figured since Hal and I both know what we're talking about, we'd skip the 12 intermediate posts leading up to the conclusion that the tuners will be able to make this thing fly.... and lead straight to the premise that the only way they'll be able to compete with 1000+ horsepower tuned rigs such as F/I vettes, and vipers, that the block is going to have to be a hell of a lot better than the crappy 3.5L ones they throw in the 350Z.

Ahhhh! Thanks for the clarification....I didn't know that, but AWD goes a long way in the quarter....not to mention the twisties.

Saw one in person at the car show last weekend. Not bad, but they put the steering wheel on the wrong side! Lol! They were talking about the two modes... regular to get groceries... and "R" mode to light 'em up!
