    Hi guys,
Just installed new aFe cold air intake on my 2010 jeep srt8. After installing unit while in park or neutral, revving the car doesnt go past 4000rpms. Not sure if there is some kind of a safety while the car isnt moving or if the computer needs to be reprogrammed for a cold air intake system. Im not sure if it did it before i put the new intake on.
    HELP!

    Welcome to the "C", Ricky.

That is the rev limiter. It is set in place to protect you from over revving the motor. All is normal.

Do you have the Diablo Predator? If not, get one. It has canned tunes that will increase your power. :)

Use the Diablo canned tunes and you will not go wrong.

I think it will still only rev to 4K in park or neutral. That's to keep you from reving it without a load -- and you really don't want to.

Isn't the rev limiter a variable with the Predator? Or is that just in drive? I didn't do anything with that setting and don't remember...

The (PCM) rev limiter in park and neutral is completely separate.
The rev limiter that you can adjust with the predator is in drive (and reverse? -- haven't tried that yet :)).

If you select "raised shift points" it will automatically raise the rev limiter to accomodate that and puts you about where you want to be.

not really, there is a way to raise the n/p rev limiter (atleast on the old version), but why is the question.

Jeeps do not get to raise shift points. That is a LX/LY feature only.
