What do you just love about your SRT8? I yearn for an SRT vehicle and I'm doing what I can do get one. What is the best part about your car?
Hmm, WOT with a nice firm seat to get pushed back into. A scary powerful downshift. Brakes that I can rely on for exactly how I want to brake, when I want to brake. Then there's the lifestyle that seems to come with. You have to take care of your SRT, you have to take an interest in your SRT and you sort of become an ambassador for the thing whenever you're at a gas station or stop light or any time the subject of cars comes up. The fact that she looks so damn good after a car wash and you instantly remember the first time you laid eyes on her. The fact that just starting the car makes other car alarms go off. :stars: Oh and nevermind the 45 mph+ rolling u-turns and taking her out on world class road courses to test her limits and your limits. :dance4: Yeah, I love my SRT.
what he said^^^^^ fact is, i can drive a low 11 sec car, everyday and enjoy things like navigation, heated seats, and every other creature comfort at the same time. it is a modern day hot rod and then some!!! also, the srt charger just looks down right badass!!!
I bought my R/T a month before the SRT8 (Both Chargers). I put 2K miles on the R/T in that month. After I bought the SRT8, the R/T sat in the garage mostly. A year later, I traded the R/T in on my Diesel. The R/T had 4,122 miles on it. By the way, the R/T is an amazing vehicle to drive around in but the SRT8 was much more comfortable, especially on long drives, more power, better handling, sounds better, MPG wasn't that much different, aggressive looks, and is an attention whore. Nuff said.
my favorite part? "is that stock...REALLY!?!" and.... "you ran WHAT?!" or lastly when talking next to my car when running.... "WHAAAAAT?!?...I CANT HEAR YOU!"
Love the responses so far...lol...yeah all of those seem to apply! My R/T is modded well and is in the neighborhood of an MSRT power wise and I have SRT wheels etc...but the interior is nowhere near the SRT, the brakes are not, the suspension is not, the exterior is not... it's a really nice car, but the SRT takes it so much further on an already awesome car. Keep it coming guys!
The HEMI "Nascar" sound turns a lot of heads. I get more compliments on that and more jealous/blue corvette owners commenting on it. Hell, in Pleasanton I get the guys who JUST bought an exotic doing sound checks because mine sounds rumblier than their high end Italian cars. Brings a smile to my face EVERY time. I first test drove an R/T on a whim, because some old geezer tried to commit suicide via my Durango. My Durango was my baby at the time and having her in the shop just before my 29th birthday was too much. So I went after work to a dealer and test drove the R/T. I was very impressed but I knew the SRT existed and as awesome as the R/T was, I wanted to see how much better the SRT was. A week later I was driving off the lot in Scarlett and well, the rest is a lot of freakin' history and happy memories. I drove across country with my mom, comfortably. I drove at Willow Springs on THREE occasions, took part in a Mopar Spring Fest (the big all Mopar gathering down in So Cal), drove around while pregnant, drove my daughter home from the hospital and now I'm even in an AOL article read by who knows how many people across the country and around the world. The car has definitely changed my life and I'm guessing a lot of other owners could say the same. Its just a great car and its like you have to just dive in when you own it. Its NOT like just any other car.
It impresses 4 year olds to 84 year olds...Plenty of room, lots of aftermarket, just an overall crowd pleaser. It's difficult to stop and fuel up without someone having a conversation about it, and ALWAYS reminisce about something they use to have, or they have a friend who has X...It's just a car persons car.
Yes Ron... yes. For me the draw is/was everything these folks have stated. Mopar is back and back in a big way. Plus, the folks you get to meet BECAUSE of the car... that's probably the best part.
^ X2! And hurts alot of feelings at the stop lights. It will turn that smart ass grin into a WTF frown.
