Huh?? Are you MAKING these?? Where you gettin this work done at Rob?? I gotsta know!!! I have ALWAYS wanted projectors for the Jeep, but not many options out there......
im having them made. I will have 4 biXenons. So I can have 4 lo and 4 Hi beams. i send you a pm as they arent a vendor here. they will ship to me tomorrow. i also got some halo rings in 10,000K to go with them. although with the projectors i went with 4300K for now. a few days I should have some installed pics. a bit better pic. the housing is fine, its an aftermarket light and the glue was too soft to remove before I sent them. so it looks like hamsters been busy but the housiing is fine.
If you have all four lights lit up at night as low beams, you are going to get stopped by the local heat more often than you like. I am not sure that's what you did, but just in case.
thats exactly what i did. 42-4-205. Head lamps on motor vehicles. (1) Every motor vehicle other than a motorcycle shall be equipped with at least two head lamps with at least one on each side of the front of the motor vehicle, which head lamps shall comply with the requirements and limitations set forth in sections 42-4-202 and 42-4-204 to 42-4-231 and part 3 of this article where applicable. (2) Every motorcycle shall be equipped with at least one and not more than two head lamps that shall comply with the requirements and limitations of sections 42-4-202 and 42-4-204 to 42-4-231 and part 3 of this article where applicable. (3) Every head lamp upon every motor vehicle, including every motorcycle, shall be located at a height measured from the center of the head lamp of not more than fifty-four inches nor less than twenty-four inches, to be measured as set forth in section 42-4-204 (3). (4) Any person who violates any provision of this section commits a class B traffic infraction. 4-231 is about parking lights. 4-202 tlkse about operating in an unsafe manner. now i agree I will get pulled over, prolly get a few tickets to fight, but I dont see anything in the law that I am violating. except maybe common sense.
Oh I hear ya...lol. Sometimes it is just in my best interest not to get stopped in the first place When I was the heat I just always this thing with people not dimming their high beams (or perceived high beams in your case) and made it a point to remind motorists. Personally I think what you did is kick ass...the more lights the better.
thanks for the real posts. i know enough to always be polite and not argue with any officers that I encounter. I respect the job and the sometimes difficulties. like I said, i fully respect that they are on alert the minute I come up with CCW permit. if (when) I get a ticket i will at least try to fight the first one in court, not in the street with the officer. If I lose, then I will add some swithes to turn them off. im with you, less pulled over = more....
NP buddy. I really don't think you will get a ticket. You may get pulled over but a simple explanation of what you did should be more than fine...especially when you can demonstrate what your true high beams look like on the spot. I don't know what your MV equipment laws look like but I doubt there is anything that says what you did is illegal. It is just a car industry common practice that when 4 headlights are on a vehicle that the two inside ones=high beams. I wouldn't even sweat a ticket if you got one...it was more just getting pulled over I was trying to avoid
