I think five weeks in NICU schooled Marc and I. We schedule just about everything around the last time Madeline pooped or ate. No poop in the bathtub, or the car, so far. *KNOCK ON WOOD* Plus she seems to have this thing about pooping away from home. Oh and I only permit spill-proof sippy cups in the backseat, unless I'm back there sharing tater-tots with her at Sonic. :)

Still, I'm a human towel as far as Madeline's been concerned. I've learned just not to bother asking why my clothes are sticky.

I hate it when I don't have wipes or napkins. Nothing like cleaning sticky hands, face and boogies with the bottom of my shirt. But of course I use the underside.

Chase, sorry bro. We should make a thread on child care and modern mopars. I'm very happy for you bro!!!!

At some point, you'll realize you can't win and relax a bit. Just don't get caught wearing JUICY yoga pants to Babies'r'Us. I see way too many moms doing that. :bye:

Nah, it's not even about that. I happen to work in fashion for a living, so that's no big deal. We're not so "image" driven that we lose sight of what's REALLY important. Heck, I know the reason I even exist and have the blessings in life I have is because of Jesus Christ. I'm not gonna get all wrapped up in having all the labels and having everything perfect, there's a MUCH bigger plan in life. HOWEVER. I do realize that this is the last time I'll make a somewhat fun, large purchase, and that's why I'm concerned about getting the right vehicle. Because it's the LAST TIME, for a LONG TIME I'll be doing it, lol. I also have accepted the fact that I'm so damn anal retentive, there's no escaping the fact that I'll be wiping and protecting things in my car ten times over, lol!!!! :D
    That's funny!!! LMFAO!!!!

Kyle, I feel like Ali, the dead terrorist - I kill you, I kiiiiill yooouuuuuu....
The only way to protect the interior is either to wrap it up proffessionally or do as I´ve done, food and drinks are completly banned from the car!
Water is fine but NOTHING else, Ulrica has broken it on long trips with the kids and as a result she cant use the Maggie on long trips with the kids...
Also means I don´t get laid very often either...
A friend of mine bought his wife a Volvo XC90, fully loaded at 100k, after 4 months it was a comlplete trashbin, smellt like something died and utterly destroyed, shes in for a nasty surprise soon...

    :flowers:

I try to follow the same rules, but if I'm eating in the car, other people can eat in the car, since I'm the biggest clutz/slob in the family other than Madeline.

Enjoy eating and drinking with the background sound of crying children...
No, I know it sucks sometimes but when the kids, and myself, want something else accept water I make a stop, usually someone needs to go to the bathroom or the car needs gas.
BTW the gastank on the Maggie is redicioulously small, I fill it up and 280 miles later its bone dry, and thats pushing it, no room for taking a wrong turn or I´ll be walking...lol
The Volvo gets an easy 400 miles, and the bloody Ford (diesel) 550 miles, not complaining about thirst, just the capacity of the gastank!

Short answer. Try keeping your foot off the floor.

For American cars at least, the rule of thumb was to put a gas tank in a car that would give it a (...dang I forget the magic number) 300-350 mile range? That's about 7 hrs or an all day drive at average speed (with stops and starts etc. normal people are only going to average about 50 mph even on the highway). I'm not sure it's possible in the continental US to go 250 miles on a road without coming across a few gas stations... Used to be that if you knew the mpg for a car you could name the gas tank size or visa versa.

Alternatively, if you don't live anywhere near civilization, you're supposed to strap jerry cans to the roof or permanently mount holders for them on the bumpers.

Muuuahahaha, keeping my foot off the floor??? That would mean I´d have to change driving position! You adjust your seating so that you are most comfortable with the foot on the floor right?!?:stars:
What I´m saying is that instead of what 19 gallons it would be a lot better with 25! That would give me a +350 range at a decent average.
Its not that far in between stations here, but I´m sort of locked to one brand due to like 25% discount and filling her up is about 120 USD, so it makes for some good savings.
That means that I have to start thinking about where to fill up after 200 miles, not saying its a US thing, european preformance cars have the same problem, it seems universal.
