That GT-R will definitely be a contender...especially modified. Still looks like a Nissan 350Z with bling to me though. Corvette or Viper for me before the Japanese cars...Viper preferably since I bleed Mopar and sweat GM.
i have said it before...and will say it until i die...i'd rather cut the floor out of my SRT and use it like the flinstones mobile than drive another Japaneses car lol...
man those are some impressive numbers to say the least but I'm still not sold on the whole "nissan" thing. Even if I had the money I'd buy two SRT's and be happier. There is just something about a big american V8 that sounds like some primative animal coming after you. Hate to say it but its still a ricer in my eyes....
I'm a little late to this one.... But, who the hell could not want to kill themselves listening to that guy?! I mean that car is nothing to look at already and now I want to commit suicide because of the reviewer? I almost didn't even make it to the performance stuff. WTF. Yeah! Sign me up!!! Boring! And looks like ass.
i think the bottom line is...regardless of the performance numbers...the car just doesn't do anything for some of us...which is fine...we are all entitled to our opinions... so like some of my borthas...i'll happily drive a slower fat boat of an SRT instead of a Nissan ...if ya like the GTR...thats good stuff too lol
Alright Crypts, sorry to start such a "passionate" thread....Crypts and Bloods FTW! After all, we....are...talking....about....cars! I just never grew up with the "them vs me" mentality when it comes to cars, so I see performance for performance...don't car too much for the bling...don't care much where something was made....cause its a fuking car, you drive it. I don't particularily care that much for the GT-R's looks...hell, I don't even like the 300's looks that much....but I "appreciate" the performance of both.
Rick,That is exactly how i see it.Performance is,Well just that no matter what it's in.Hell,You could put a 427 in a Saturn and i would want to check it out.No hard feelings i hope?Oh yeah,I was sitting here watching your siggy. That is bad ass.
i didnt mean to add fuel to the fire of a holy war here...i was just giving my opinion of it...all im saying is its not for me...nothing wrong with that i hope... if i came off as jerkish i apologize...just not Nissan's biggest fan is all...im gonna leave this tread alone so i dont get myself into any more trouble lol
rick - in todays global market place, manufacturing of items will take place where ever the price is right. our dodges are built in canada, by buddy toyota truck in california...... who cares as far as i am concerned..... bottomline, that is one friggin fast car and i would not mind having it in my stable if i could. don't get me wrong, i tend to like euro imports, not the jap stuff, but a car is a car and that i one fast friggin car!!!!
I'm not sold on Nissan reliability or longevity. The car does have some impressive specs...so did my Nissan 350Z Track Model. But man, what a service garage queen. More TSB's than any other car I've ever owned. Nissan as a business can be a real biatch to deal with, too. Having learned a lesson there, the 350Z went on to a new owner and I vowed never to get another one. However, if Nissan were to offer me some free track time in the GT-R, I'd take it.
