Had the pred in for about a week now. noticed one thing that has been a very pleasant surprise. my car has not reached 200 on the temp gauge since its installation. i have the 180 t-stat (since first week of ownership), but the car has rountinely reached 215 in traffic. since the pred, it has not come even close to what it did prior. i know that the pred has fan settings that can be adjsted, but i did nothing different with the setting. just left everything on. wow, what a difference. anybody else see the same big change in temps with the pred??? just curious......

The predator sets all the fans temps assuming you have a 180 t-stat (190* I think). If you still had the stock t-stat the fans would be running all the time trying to get your down to 190 which it can't with a 203* t-stat. Ditto on the 176* temps while cuising... gotta love that 4127...

I set all my fans to 190 (high), 186 (med), and 180 (low). My temp rarely gets above 185....it'll get to around 190 when I'm running it hard. Loving it!

Isn't that going to keep the fans running pretty much all the time?

I'd be a little curious about setting low fans at 180. I've never gotten a straight answer as to how many degrees below the "on" temp do the fans run before they turn off??

If they come on at 180, do they run until the temp drops to 175 then turn off? I think it's 5* but not sure...

Low fans is both fans in series (slow) so there's not much wear & tear...

It keeps the low fan running most...if not all of the time. I tried bumping it up 5* for each setting the fan was still running all the time so I lowered it again. It doesn't bother me...will it cause them to $hit the bed earlier?

So if I get the predator, I could theoretically uninstall my coolit mod? Is there a way to turn the fan thing off? I typically only use the fans when drag racing because the engine stays pretty cool on its on during normal daily driving.

Tam, you could do really conservative settings for daily use....and then install aggresive ones for track day. It takes about five minutes to do the changes and it's really easy.

Cool, seriously considering getting one. Just don't feel like getting performance mods I can't test drive any time soon. :prop:
