Blake and his friend Dave
aka. Nitro Dave have made
an agreement to try and
make the purchase of New
10 and 15 pound nitrous
bottles more affordable.
We hope this idea will
prevent a person from
obtaining a used bottle that
he or she does not know
the history of just because
it's cheaper. Trust me, I
know what you are thinking,
but hear me out. I have
bought used nitrous bottles
for years, but I am telling
you from experience, the
bottle that exploded and
took my left leg from me
was out of a car I
purchased and knew
nothing about. It sat in my
shop for almost a year
before the accident
happened. The bottle
looked brand new, decal
was perfect, and it had an
electric bottle heater on it
when it was in the car. The
bottle showed no signs of
ever being heated up with a
torch and I have friends that
have used torches for
years, but not I. I found that
thought a little crazy myself,
but to each their own. So
even if my accident turns
out to be a freak thing, I
hope you or your friends
never have to be put in a
life changing position like I
have, just to save a buck.
So please if you chose on
buying used bottles, at
least take them to be
checked out as soon as
you get them, don't let
something you sat aside in
your shop get you later.
