Hi I have been reading different threads on this subject but not with my conditions Here whats wrong Key Fob will not open or close doors or open trunk nothing wrong with fob as I checked solder points, battery new Doors lock when driving an unlock when exiting Inside door lock control works Fuse OK #11 in trunk Recycled the key to reprograme the locks OK The car had neen in the body shop for about a 1,5 weeks an I had to reboot some alarms on the dash, ETC an engine light Put it on a diagnostic tool and found the ETC an transmission signal codes an deleted those. Any ideas
What were the code #'s, like PXXXX? That will help determine what sensor isn't hooked up, simply clearing them doesn't solve the problem.
Hate to say it...but it sounds like it is a fob issue. From the sounds of it, either the key fob is bad...or like Ron said, the programming got "lost".
Well we only have one dealer on the west cost of Norway, its 150 bucks an hr an it start the moment the car drives in the bay, I asked to program a couple keys an they said it takes about 3 hrs, an its a 2 week wait till I can get in
I have tried the EVIC system but no matter how many times I cycle I see no codes, watched my local garage do it with there diagnostic system, but I did not pay atten to codes an he saw nothing other then ETC (which I knew was there) and tranmission signal error, but nothing else. Guess it looks like the stealership
That might be the next thing to try but... I sort of remember that the TPM system and the security stuff is all in the same software module. Although I kind of doubt that just a particular bit of code got reset or something... I'll look it up later. Got a meeting with the boss right now.
Ok found out why it did not work, my Audiovox remote start was off when it sat in the shop so long, had to reboot it all is fine now
I am glad you got your problem figured out. WTH kinda key do you have? Some kinda super top secret security key that shoots lazers and stuff. It does NOT take 3 hours to program a key. :rofl::rofl::rofl: Bad Stealership! :domotwak:
Hi And I had mechanics scratching their ass trying to figure it out, I went home an just started from square 1, OK the remote's not workin(hmmmm thats in my locking system of the car) fix it then.......
Ahhh, so the remote start thing must be sitting inbetween the key fob and the PCM (probably does the RF part too). That would mean that it had nothing to do with anything internal to the PCM which means... your TPM system still isn't working?
Strange? I walk out this morning, go to unlock doors and nothing happens? WTF? Look at fob, look at car, WTF? Run and grab the wife's keys, go back to car and try to unlock door and same thing! Nothing! WTF? Scratch head in puzzlement and say WTF again! Hmmm, so i open the door with the key! next thing you know the alarm is going off? WTF? Put key in ignition and notice nothing happening. Such as beeping, buzzing or any indicator lights. WTF? Alarm is still going? Turn key to start and alarm shuts off, but car dont start! WTF? Ok, dead battery? WTF? Its a optima! So be the case, go to grab the booster cables out of minivan and WTF? They not there! WTF? At this point, i am saying more then WTF! Run to the store and buy another set of cables(other one disappeared and were only a few months old). Get home, grab cables, close door, hook everything up and go to get back in the van, well....WTF? I locked myself out with the van running! WTF? Good thing i had the wife's van key too! Point is hopefully this makes you feel better! I have no idea why the batter died but i got cables now! Hi Well I was so excited I finally got the bugs out I forgot to check but will 2day, we are 6hrs ahead of you on the other side of the pond.
TPM works ok now, so it was all tied into my audiovox remote start if thats off all kinds of things happened, but good to go now CEL ETC TPM No key fob function
