1.Does anyone have a picture of a clearance widage tray and the oil valley? 2.Anyone know how well the 6.1 perform with a stroke kit and stock heads and intake.
here is a pic of a clearanced tray...Without head/intake work, you'll give up a few ponies, but will still be a tire shredder...prolly 30/40 horse difference.
This is for future reference i have surf several vendor sites and always notice that everyone has stage 1, 2, and 3 heads. My question is what is the different i haven't made contact with any vendors about heads but before i do i wanted to know a little about the item to be able to make a good decision on which head to go with. Which stage is more drag racing or street/strip any comment would help a lot before i talk to any vendors.
Their are some really good people doing our heads, Inertia, Franks, PWR, HHP, just to name a few...the ones that stands out to me is PWR, and Inertia. PWR has all out racing head to your basic ported head they all sell... stock valve diameter, with EXCELLENT CNC work with hand touch...great head for the money. Andy at PWR is good guy, and will do the extras to earn your biz. Inertia does some big valve jobs with great results, Stu will listen to your needs and help you make the decision, he's not someone who has to sell his stuff, it does that on it's own with numbers and times to back it up...the guys stuff just works. It's a big purchase, take your time and talk with the vendor of your choice about what your goals are. Most of the front guys are just car guys like us, they understand. If you want a good bang for buck and not trying to spin up to the moon, you probably want to get econo, or stage 1 heads, which if it involves CNC work, they are all pretty equal, get the best deal and your good.
which is better the diablo predator/trinity i have reviewed several post but no one really post which is better they share some differences but which is better i know the trinity cost a lot more but sometime you have to pay for quality.
Depends what you call better. If pricing is important, Predator is better, otherwise Trinity all the way. The canned tunes are identical. Both have same adjustment ability and basics like storing/recalling tunes. Trinity has external input to allow connection of a wideband or whatever else. Also has real-time PID display, so you can mount it in your car and go for a drive with your choice of several "live" PIDs right there in front of you. Predator can log these same parameters but you have to go home and load to your computer to see them. Trinity has a lot more internal memory for longer/more logging. A few guys are seeing strange EMI/RF interference issues with the Trinity though... key fobs not working, bad radio reception, cell phone crapping out, and TPMS being thrown off. I think it's fine for most people though.
