Do you know what would have happened if the "Cash for Clunkers" progam was used during the late 70's gas crunch? Most of the 60's and earlier muscle cars or cars with muscle car potential would be gone today. Coronets, Chargers, Roadrunners, Darts, Cuda's...a lot would have been scrapped. Not to mention Camaros and Mustangs that would be scrapped. Think about it.... That is what has happened today. In 10-20 years there won't be near as many 80's and 90's cars around to get parts from or build up. Way less scrap parts for your own car either. All enignes and trannys are destroyed and only what the salvage yard had to time to remove beforre mandatory scrapping of the car at 90 days. Sad Day... ..
Cash for Clunkers just reminded me of the sad reality that most people are just stupid, painfully horribly stupid.
No...they are not. It is over with and the damage is done. This sad reality was realized after they did it. ..
