    That is friggin sick!

Not that I'd ever have the power (or balls) to hack up my nice new car, but do you think the process would be pretty much the same for an LX?

Absolutely it will. Matter of fact, a lx goes on the rack next week for this too.

Soooo after a long battle getting this pig running (remember, it came in a box....missing all kinds of misc MF pieces....gezzis that's iritating) she hit the road 2 nights ago. I had a issue with it holding the toe adjustment which I got worked out last night. And off she went through the paces again. Everthing was set up in loose mode, the spring backed all the way out and the damping adjustments set up at zero. That way I could twist her up as much as it can go.

And I let it rip, bottom her out, twisted, sideways, off camber 25mph impacts with a 1ft high ramp, hard cornering, you name it she took it like a champ. I found four small areas that need some very minor adjustment and I'll run a 1mm spacer and off to paint she'll go tomorrow. I can't even begin to tell everyone how happy I am with how well it turned out. When it's all finished up and the suspension is completely dialed in, it will be a giant 4400lb slot car.

Also I'd like to give out some major props to 07superbee (Sammy). The poor bastage came by to pick up some things from me and ended up cleaning up not only the Challenger, but Hal's 300 as well. Plus he got to witness the carnage of the test drive.

Thanks brother, you're a true friend and a major asset to the community. I owe ya one!!.

Outstanding! (25mph impacts? wtf? battering ram?)

(oh, Hal would like you to send him a picture of his car -- he's pretty sure it's a 300 but forgot what color).

No I haven't had the time. Tomorrow after I drop it off at Auto Explosion, then I get to finish all those parts.

    LOL thanks Adam!.

    Thanks again Mr. Steve

Hehehe, I had to work my way up to that bump. And the first time I decided to give it a full speed dead center shot, my hole was so tight I could have whistled the National Anthem and held the note. I thought for sure I'd tear something up. :dumb:

I'm gonna try and set up a video camera and capture that just so everyone can see how intense she twisted up. Then do it again after the suspension is all dialed in.

Ya poor Hal, he's been waiting on me for a loooong time. What a Fn disaster.

Well I thought maybe it was time to give this thread a little update. Very, VERY soon this little project will be 100% complete and I'll do a new thread and explain in detail all that this ride has gone through since it's inception.

So here is where it's at right now. She finally got all the details installed and operational and went on it's first full blown outing this past Sunday. [IMG]

And whatta know?, it sucked big hairy balls. [IMG]

First off it had to most unreal knocking noise that no matter the speed was making me insane. It sounded like I had left a control arm hanging and it was beating on the bottom of the car.

Also road noise was very intense. Now this aspect will be dealt with shortly and it's not the end of the world.

But what do we find on Monday morning was making all that racket??. The gawd darn Fn shocks......INTERNALLY!. After spending 6 man hours going over every inch of the work and rocking and banging and everything else you can think of, it came down to those QA-1's that ruined my little 200 mile journey.

I even made fixed struts for the rear and drove it to prove to myself it was the shocks and sure as hell it was. I can't begin to tell you what a disappointment that was, let alone being a very expensive lesson.

SO, a call was made to AFCO. And after a very productive conference call, we now have a new set up that'll be here on Friday for more testing.

Anyhow, here's a couple pic's of the finished wheel wells and the final stance.

Oh ya, she took the number one award at the Mopar Spring Fling. My gawd there was a ton of Challengers there too. That was pretty cool. :D

Thanks Chuck. Man you should see her now all finished up. I'm very happy with how it turned out. I just need to complete dialing it in.

AND, the AFCO's came in this morning. Oh boy, I can't wait to drive it tomorrow and see how this turns out.
