lol...no, it had to do with a signature I had at the time...He was reading something I wrote, and she walked by the computer and saw it. She said something like..."Look at him, he has a horse head and a hoof, he's just STUPID."

EDIT: Here is the actual PM

Well, bad news hommies...same shit different turd. Crank bushing installed and nothing changed. :( :( :( Feels like I wasted a good bit of money today, but the bushing was needed anyway, i guess.
Having Johan desensitize the sensors in the 5k-6.5k area a little more. Make a log and LISTEN to my motor...repeat.

Anyone wanting to view the log(s) feel free to PM me with your email and I'll send it over.
Also feel free to give advice...i can't imagine trying anything else short of change in my valve train of some sort.

Dayum Kyle...that flat sucks. I was pretty certain you had it nailed with the crank bushing...this is starting to get complicated! I wish I had a decent suggestion, but you are heading in the same direction that I would go also - I would start looking at the valvetrain. I am assuming you don't hear any loud clacking or anything...
I have an entire set of lifters you can have if it comes to that...they were working fine when I replaced them...I was troubleshooting a knock at the time.

(wonder how I missed all this...) errr, ummm, how can you be sure it's not knock?

One thing to keep in mind is that the PCM will only pull timing (in response to detected knock) up to a point. After that it's actually knocking (assuming it's not false knock).

For example, let's say it is real knock. and at that RPM the PCM will only pull a max of 10* timing. Let's say that if you pulled 15* of timing the knock would go away under those conditions. So you get in that condition and the pcm will only pull it's max 10* and you're left with real live detonation. Looks unlikely here but, just sayin.

If it's pulling 10* up top then it should still be inside what the PCM can handle.

Thanks Jon, i am not hearing anything out of the ordinary at any RPM out of the valve train, or low end. New lifters are in there, when i rebuilt i changed them also... I do have a bearing whine from the idler on the passenger side of the pump. Can't change out the pulley or bearing, it's non-removable. I'de have to change out the entire water pump. I don't know If that's causing the sensor to freak out up top, or not.
He didn't want to do it. He said he could and it was my decision. I asked him to adjust them a little, and take a few degrees out in the same area. I'de log LISTEN and send it back to him for another small adjustment...baby steps at a time.

I understand...104 race fuel and nothing changed, tells me it's false. Popping a head gasket on my old motor tells me it's real, but so much is different on the two motors to compare them.

I have a new tune from Johan going in today and will begin logging as soon as it dries up here (tomorrow).

FWIW...Went to install the tune and checked codes for shits an giggles, don't have a CEL or anything, just wanted to see if I had any hidden codes. I did...P0300 random misfire (shouldn't that have triggered a CEL?). I know it's common, and threshold can be adjusted to alleviate it, but my cam isn't very big for this many cubes, and it being on a 115 LSA is even better as far as getting random misfires. I cleared it, and installed the new tune.

Kyle, I have a cam that is almost a twin to yours. I got the P0300 code until Bob at SVS adjusted the RPM threshold at which the car began looking for it. Nothing else I did had any effect on that, and the thing would just show up occasionally on Bob's tune. Heck, with Ken Bjonnes' tune it was a CONSTANT, along with surging around in parking lots trying not to hit people's parked cars and continuously restarting my stalled motor..

I just ordered the dual Aeroforce gauges to replace my Innovate and Nordskog gauges...I will be checking out my KR on a regular basis here shortly.

I put Johan's new tune in yesterday...Did a log this morning, 3 pulls of 3 gears....
    WINNER WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER!

Looks good, a blip of KR of about .5 everynow and then throughout the pulls...all of them. I am running about 20 degrees advance actual spark in cyl 1 and 2...all down hill form here i think. The car feels great!

Jon, i plan to do the same gauge soon. Must have for us (and pretty cool).

Ok... now the burning question is: Did he turn down the knock sensors?

Somewhat, he adjust the sensors in that area by .75 volts. I hear nothing but sweet exhaust. No real knock.

No worries Cam, your plate is so over full, i can usually take care of it myself, as long as it's mechanical.
I'de rather electronic issues over mechanical any day. Mechanical probs can get verry expensive.
Thanks to all that helped. Your advice and taking the time to give a shit is much appreciated.

I plan on re-dyno tuning when I can, and fine tune to get all the power i can, but the car feels great as is.

Did a few more things today that's been annoying me.

First was the idler pulley on passenger sides bearing was whining so much, i had gotten asked if i added S/C. So I replaced the idler. Bolt/shaft it rides on comes off with a T-50 torx. Whining GONE (Yeah!) I actually thought it was the PS pump for a while, and did the screw driver in the ear test, and found it was the idler.

Next intalled a Stant 11334 radiator cap, no real reason, i just prefer it over the stock cap.

Next,.made a transmission fluid checker out of a long ass zip-tie i got from a friend that works for the phone company. Looked up fluid check at 185 degrees, and it should be 72.5mm up the stick, mine is overfilled to 86mm up the stick from when I had my service done, and bushing installed last week. Plus the dip shit tech forgot two bolts in the bell housing, ones that go through the oil pan...Pretty large bolts if i remember..black in color and 18mm socket head (again from memory). Anyone know what size they are? I looked in SM and found them but no size specified, called dealer told him what happened, he comes back with... "the tech said they were missing when you brought it in.". I said "BULLSHIT! I distinctly remember them, because they were a different size than the top bolts, different color and weren't double end...BULLSHIT"...and they couldn't tell me the fucking size either, but could order them. I told don't worry about it, i'll figure it out. Fucking dealers man, and this one is the best in my area, I detest half assness, lazy, no accountability dip shits...Anyway.

    1. I need to reduce my tranny fluid level to correct amount. It's not acting weird or anything, but I just want it to be correct and efficient. What could happen with it this much overfill??? Pump failure?

    2. I need two bolts, any help with size???...if not, i'll just order them from a different dealer.
