I may have to give up completely on Dodge and buy a 2010 Camaro. For some reason, Camaros are starting to grow on me. LOL.

I dunno, the Camaro just doesn't excite me like the Challenger does. Performance wise it may be a little more, but the Challenger gives me serious wood.

Having owned a 1970 340 Plum Crazy Cuda and a couple of Camaro's. I probably would go with the Camaro. Should be cheaper and what will be left over will easily add lots of easy to buy HP.

Cuda had much more history than the Challenger, starting in 1964, and didn't get turned into a faux car like the Mitsubishi Challenger. Cuda had much better liines IMHO.

    Rarest SRT8. Mine LOL

My black one came in Monday. I had to tell the dealer "nevermind." I just couldn't pay $5,000 over sticker to get one two months earlier than most.

That's what interests me most about the Camaro. A proven platform with TONS of available engine mods. There'll be 10-20 times as many choices for the Camaro as the Challenger. And it weighs 200-400 pounds less than a Challenger too.

I have a Factory Ordered 08 with ZERO options. I've heard from the purchasing dealer that there are virually no others, or only a few, know to have been built. However, I don't have any numbers to back it up. My guess though, is that there are some, but probably very few.

Oops....sorry, from a Jeep standpoint. Didn't mean to cross-tower the question.

I know this thread is old, old, old, but I've been searching to find out how many 300C SRT8s were made in 2006 and can find absolutely nothing. I'm sure the numbers aren't as limited as some, but I guessing they didn't make enough to get to full production. I just purchased one in black (which I'd guess is the most produced color), and am just curious. Thanks all.

Larry, even if they did say SRT10s were included....the ORIGINAL 50 VCoA editions....(The BLUE with the white stripes) were the rarest,i beleive even one was a PACE TRUCK for the INDY 500....or maybe it was the DAYTONA500
But one of them (b4 any other REGULAR SRT10s hit the streets) was a PACE TRUCK! I remember saying WOW! a TRUCK as a PACE setter!

At least MOST of the SRT8 in all breeds are pretty rare. I love my 06 Black Mag SRT and plan on holding onto it forever and maybe some day I'll even get it broken in.... LOL (Still has just under 8,200 miles)

Daytona requires the pace cars to be autos.....unfortunely Chrysler destroyed the trucks afterward so no known auto RCs exist other than a few custom trucks...

I know the numbers on the Magnum but I am thinking wasn't there a 05 C SRT8? And if so wouldn't that really be the rares?

I think the real question is what will be the rarest existing numbers matching cars in like 20-30 years. That's how the mopar collectors seem to gauge it. I'm guessing because of the nature of these cars and their owners there won't be very many. Maybe the ones that I see around Pleasanton driven by middle-aged ladies for commute cars. Somehow I don't think they mod theirs very much.

If I had to give an opinion (which I usually like to do :p) I would say the 2008 Dodge Challenger 500's will be fairly rare (since there were only 500 of them built out of 6900 2008 Dodge Challenger's.

For those who didn't read about the 500 Package in my intro thread. It was offered for Canada only, for the initial production run. The 500 were not numbered like the US cars, however they received a 500 Badge instead of the SRT Badge on the grill, and the interior dash plaque reads "Canadian 500 Edition". Us lucky Canucks also got a plaque with the VIN number ,a 2nd 500 Grill badge and the original SRT Grill Badge on it.
