I was thinking back over the past year and realized that pretty much my entire driveline (except the transmission) was replaced this year. I've got a "new" car with 45k miles on the clock. Over the past year, I've (meaning me, MOL, Cam, and sdcarguy) installed: new forged short block refreshed heads BT valve covers builder bill flex plate 09 driveshaft 09 Getrag diff 09 axles/hubs and longer wheel studs new wheels new control arms new tension struts new end links What a year! and my bank account shows that I've been busy.
That some kinda record for you? look at it like this...at least you have some worth and value in the upgrades you've done. Should last a very long time now without breakage...money well spent IMO.
I have 18k on the car...4k on the motor...and a SHR Trans coming in the spring ...new axles...LSD.... like buying a new car again...and costs as much too! lol
Now that the car has learned it, I like it. It was pretty hairy at first though. I put it where you mentioned you wanted to move yours to. Its on the fender side of the straight pipe, right in front of the coolant tank. I'll try and take a pic tonight, but it will be dark so no promises on quality.
Nice fitment, Adam. I would have done something different with the vacuum line though. Or was that not an option? Is the vacuum fitting not movable?
It can't go under the valve because one of the blower belts is there. I will probably move it between the coolant bottle and valve, but its pretty close and I don't want it to get pinched. I'm going to re-do all of my vacuum lines soon. I want to get them all the same size and use brass "T" fittings all around. I'll probably reroute it then.
WOW, that's nice but it sure is tight in there. I took a picture of my mileage yesterday on my 06 Mag SRT.... I lied earlier when I said I had 8,200 miles ~ LOL ~
looks good buddy...looks like you did the smart thing and mounted it more towards the middle of that pipe...defiantly helps the fitment...mines a little further down so its more of a PITA to get in good spot....does yorus rub at all on the hood?
