So the srt8 has been making a rattling sound when under load. I had Ron listen to it and we thought that something was loose, Well yesterday the SES light came on. I had the code pulled and checked and it was a P0430 (i think) code means something about the cats and now the drivers side rattles more. My question is if I gut them out will it throw a code? Is it going to be really annoying to drive, (stock muffler, deleted the resonators)
    Thanls for any info

the driver side rattles more but 0430 is pass side cat efficiency.I would be willing to bet someone has a set of stock 6.1 cats lying around.

If you gut them you'll have to turn off your O2's so you dont get constant codes

Just use your predator to turn off the o2's I think you will get a check engine light? Or you could have them taken off with the cmr tune and you for sure will not get a light.

Are they stock cats? What's your mileage? I believe the oem cats have to make 50,000 miles per Fed regualations...

    oooh, good catch there Bucky.
Call the dealer and tell them you're pretty sure they have to fix it under warranty. Then when you take it in make sure to wipe some of the soot off the tips and give it a minute to let the gas that's dripping out of them evaporate

Hells yeah.... Im not sure what else it could be, we only use 91 octane in the car, it's not driven hard so Im not sure what else that code can stand for
