The wife and I took the 16 month old "chunk" on a 1.5 hour drive to Julian, CA today. She got a pretty fussy on the drive back. What options are there for the SRT8's and what do they cost? I'm familiar with the stock center armrest option. I'd really like to keep the stock headrests. Options and cost!
i have the rear ves system. its pretty nifty although ive used it a total of one time. dont think it was all that expensive either. if you really dont mind going ghetto you can get a portable dvd player and get the case that hangs it between the 2 front seats
I guess I want to see if others have "cut" into there stock headrests and how much it costs. Or, does the stock one in the armrest work at shutting their kids up!
i cant tell you cost because it would vary by shop...but you can have them integrate monitors into the stock head rests...so if you wanted that look with the monitors there...you could have it done... i think that a good shop could put it into the back of the seats as well if thats what you want...
no kids here...but i can tell you that the center armrest one is pretty sweet...i like mine at least...
oh it'll work. also comes w/2 sets of wireless headphones. shut my dad up for the hour and a half drive up to the company fishing trip this year. other then that, sorry i couldnt help w/the headrest portion of your question
Thanks Steve I'll look into it. I remembered seeing the "replacement" headrests at the dealership...didn't realize a custom shop could just cut into the stock headrests. Nope Markus...you did help. Depending on what is cheaper...I'll probably go that route!
Rick, come on! Just get "Ryan's People" to steal you a 42" LCD and have them jimmy-rig it to the interior roof. On a serious note, if you want to stay away from 'pimpin', get the center console one via Mopar or another company. Otherwise, you'll need to put a screen in on both headrests, otherwise it'd look weird. On second thought, go the Ryan route.
I have the center console one. It keeps the wives quiet during long drives with another couple. You might want to check with Cleveland Pick-a-Part. They specialize in wrecked SRT8s and might have the DVD center console cheaper than new.
Rick, If you want prices and various ideas on set-ups call me and I'll give you my brother's number. He runs a stereo shop, but you guys probably forgot.......................................................:secret:
I don't know Jason, you're pretty covert. Who would ever know what that meant? We'll have to put our 2 best detectives on it...
