but its cold outside hahaha LETS GO...PUSH THAT 65lbs YEAAAAHHHHH!!!!! haha... what do you put up big mark?...back when i used to lift i put up some decent weight on free weight squats and deadlift...i put up 560 on squat and 495 on deadlift... i cant bench really cause of my hand so i never really topped 250....too much weight and my hand couldnt support it...
im 24 and even now im noticing my metabolism begin to slow down. makes me feel old! my gf is a trainer/dietician and she's helped me out alot and shown me alot of stuff i didnt know as well as show me what i thought i was doin right was actually wrong. if you wanna pm me your info after your inital consultation with your trainer (v02 max, age, weight, hr, bp, etc) and ill get her to work out something for you.
haha i dont squat or deadlift, bad knees/spinal injuries so i do hack squats and leg presses. on the bench after my warmups and stretches ill start with 225 and go up to 365 for 6 reps of nice slow controlled motion. the key as you already know is to make sure your form is PERFECT, not a single flaw in it. if i brooklyn bridged my back and bounced it off my chest i could probly throw up 405 for 10
yeah man...if i even put 300 on the bar i'd break my hand it sucks... my legs/back have always been like steel
Sweet dude!! That'd be awesome! i'll hit you up after my initiating session with the "trainer". I'm not sure he'll go that in depth though, this is a martial arts training class. I haven't even spoken to the guy, I received a voucher for Christmas. In the pamphlet I received, he claims that he'll throw the book of "western fitness" into the garbage can. There will be no focused regimens like arms one day, and legs the next. I thought it would be a different approach, cause quite honestly, the gym bores the shit out of me sometimes. I do like how when I am at the gym I can unwind and shit, but sometimes it gets "old". Like I said, we'll see how it works. He claims a person will see the same results within months, that others try to attain in years. . . . I'm definately used to the "western" approach. Hell, it's fuckin' chemistry! You can't argue with that! I'll be talkin to ya soon, Thanks!
well thats all well and good but he should honestly at the very minimal do a health assessment of you just so he like doesnt pop your heart during strenuous activity or anything like that. ive seen trainers go too tough on their clients and wind up having to use a defibulator on them, its not pretty, thats why they have health assessments. let me know how that stuff works on you. any kind of aerobic activity will trim you up, dont necessarily have to touch a weight
been there roz!!! back in the mid 90's, i was 250lbs..... at 5'9", that is a bit big...... got divorced, hit the gym, and just flat out ate better and lost 70 lbs in 4 months!!! i have been btween 175 - 180 ever since!!!!!
