Belt for ATI 918432/916652 6.780" 5% OD damper I tried doing my homework, and need a lil help. What size belts are yall running...will the stock length belt work okay? Does the tensioner have enough adjustment to compensate? 6PK2070 (81.50") is stock length. By doing the math, i THINK i'll need a belt ~1.46" longer...and I can't find a 6PK2107, will a 6PK2105 work okay? Much appreciated.
good luck brudda.... the only way I found the right belt for my car was to buy about 5 of them and try each one out lol
Yeah, trying to avoid that...and being I sell belts, all i have to do is figure out what I need (or cheat off others) and be set. Not dumb, but I just didn't think they'd know, they sell dampers not belts...BUT, worth a try. I did a search on LXF and Fat Boy (Nathan :bye had run this set up a while back...I figured others had too, and could chime in.
Look at those gator belts...they are pretty sweet ....the sizes seem to be a little weird though...106 "normal" seems to be shorter than 106 in gator...least thats how it was when we did the belts for the blower on my car
Goodyear Gatorback Part# 4060798 Metric Part Number - 6PK2025 Ribs - 6 Effective Length - 79.875 Outside Lenght - 80.625 You can get the belt from here: http://www.amazon.com/Goodyear-40607...6116059&sr=8-1 Here is some numbers from my 25% under drive,Dont know if they will help Wll thats just plain dumb if you ask me..Call and ask me what Mopars my parts fit.I bet I know.SHit I bet I know what fords they fit on too.
Yeah, Goodyear list the 6PK2070 as 81.75" effective length, meaning i would need a 83.18" for a 1.46" increase in size...they list a 6PK2115 as 83.25" effective length...pretty damn close...If no one chimes in, i guess i may start there.
I'm not sure which ATI damper that is, but if it's the 5% overdrive one - you'll need a belt 1" longer than you had before.
lol...Thanks for trying Scott...i do math all day every day...that's no problem here...if nothing else, ill order a size above and below, then return what I don't use...just a PITA.
While it takes more effort, you can route a string over all the pulleys in the same route that the belt goes in and then measure it. That being said, I just bought 2 close to what I needed and then kept one as a spare.
I figured 1.46 by multiplying stock size (6.3125 x 3.14) and new size (6.780 x 3.14) and subtract...giving me a 82.96" or 2107mm required length. Not made... Fuck, now i dunno...I may get a 6PK2100, 6PK2105, and 6PK2115. Yeah, that would also work, but you need a motor to do it...:shifty:
I hope this wasn't refereeing to me..... I dug this out of my Archives NOW MY Questions.... should I have a different pulley than this 5% over since I have a Super Charger now???
LOL..you da man...THANKS Nathan...and hey, only a fat boy (me) can call another fat boy fat boy...nuttin but love for ya bro! If you want to change/lower your boost level, you can change to underdrive...but it's cheaper and more simple to just change out your blower pulley.
That's what i'm changing...going from 17% OD to 5% OD...no idea why i have the 17% to begin with, well the original person who sold it to me would be the reason i guess, and he is a complete idiot, because i never intended on S/C. Nathan is already pushing 18 psi i believe...17% OD would substantially increase that.
