When i come back from the track...i spend roughly 3 hours under the car cleaning off all the rubber.... that sucks....a lot lol...cause im as anal as they come...and have to get EVERY BIT of it lol
I think I have burnt rubber in my wheel wells from 3 years ago ... lol ... I just stopped cleaning it cuz every week theres more!
Spray PAM cooking spray on the back side of the wheel wells and rear bumper corners problem solved, your still anal though....
you have finally come clean now........ after about two trips to the track, i quit trying to scrub it out!!! now when i am somewhere and some smart ass makes a comment about "its pretty, but do you race it???"........ i just tell them to look in the fender well...... i might try this next time out!!!
Yeah I also heard about Vaseline....guess we can tell what someones like by what they suggest LOL so your the wuss that has to "prove" that his car is fast? LOL
What? You live in Florida and you don't know this? How do you deal with the June bugs? Truck driver trick during June bug season. Spray the whole front of the tractor with Pam. Those June bugs will take off Krylon paint when they dry.
DAMN GUYS! HOLY SHIT! I was thoroughly informed, and yet cracked my ass up on this thread! You guys have no idea how much I appreciate all this. I guess it goes to show you guys really do like me. I just thought I was the prissy whiney anal retentive fag that annoyed all you guys!!!! And while that may be true, this shows you care enough about my gay-ass to help me out!!!! Thanks sooooo much for all the advice guys, it seriously means a lot!!!! (I'm gonna have to read it all again to take it all in) And the comments about my hair and hovering over the toilet had me on the floor LMAO!!!!
Good luck because without drag radials and your power/torque you will need it. Be very easy on the gas and if you go sideways at anytime just abort mission. Not worth messing up your ride to finish out the run which is already screwed anyways if you get sideways. Here is a vid of Talon running with similar power/torque with borrowed 20" Nitto drag radials: At 5:40 the race starts. You will notice alot of tire smoking. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmDy45r07fc&feature=related They should use that video in an advertisement for Hoosiers
Cool. Thanks for posting that vid. I can see what you guys mean, now, by "rolling into" the throttle. I'll be careful, TRUST ME. And yes, I have a helmet.
Was that the day I was there? I think I might have been the only Magnum that raced. It's actually pretty level. Maybe a 4 foot uphill? After the traps it goes uphill a lot. And prevailing winds are in your face.
Dave put down the Jack and Coke go to the 55 second mark and 2:19 mark and tell me thats not downhill and to go uphill after the traps you have to go downhill before:erm:
When we were all parking in that narrow walled off lane? And you commented on how clean my car looked? :huglove: And I busted out on my first bracket race by .001? And I got in the $10 winner take all losers race and spun the tires off the line because it had cooled off a bit? And Talon blew out his IAT sensor so we fixed it with duct tape? That Mopar Day?
They have professional NHRA drag racing there so I'd assume the track is level. It certainly isn't the fastest track around either. I think it is a bit of an optical illusion with the lift at the end.
ummm, JD and Coke... Tree: elevation 17 ft. Traps: elevation 44 ft. First turn out: elevation 72 ft. Second turn out: elevation 104 ft. The downhill part is on the return lane (which is a twisty part of the road course?).
