I know, I know you guys could care less :sleep:but this was exciting for me so hah you gotta read :bye: One of my biggest goals over the past year was to crack into the 7's with just tune and intake mods but it has eluded me on many close run several of which were 8.0XX:crying:. I was laying on the couch resting up :yawn:to work at the bar later last night and my buddy called me up and said they were hitting the local track and he really wanted me to come watch since putting in his new Torquer V2 cam in his 06 GTO temps were in the mid 50's but it was drizzeling (not rain or just real light mist) so I was like okay let me change and I'll be there and thought maybe I could get a pass in as well while I am there. No time to bag up ice or my usual prep but since it was cold I did air up the fronts to 42psi and rears to 32psi, grabbed my fan jumper and off I went. Got there, parked facing the wind, ran the fan for a bit and 30 minutes later staged. I'm 3 back and see 2 monster track cars do their burnout and one of them runs over the staging beems, track shuts down:doh: :sly:and they come back to tell us all we can run is the 1/8 til they figure this out so uggghhh okay why not. Hook up the dash hawk intake temps were about 60 degrees, Ambient 55, humidity 85% with a light mist of moisture coming down. Stage cut a 1.76 60' and a 7.99 1/8 @ 85.52 mph:dance4::towel::harhar:. I park, turn the fan on go back up to watch some passes and they find another sensor so 1/4 is back on, run back to the jeep get back in line, stage cut another 1.76 60', 8.060 1/8 @ 84.92 mph, 12.68 1/4 @ 105.88 So there I gots my 7 finally:harhar:
Of course we care. We all have goals and its good to see when someone reaches one. Congrats to you. :band:
It was last weekend and I could not make it. They may have another in Jan and that one I will make. Are you going next week to the one in Texas?
Dont get too hurt for a 5,000lb suv we still butt hurt the majority of the lx with similar mods:ronlove::whistle::thongue2:
