Treatment you can expect from the new and FOULED up Techco!!!

    Ok,

    Brief background before I copy and paste the email from Jimmy (the guy who is spineless).

    While my car was at Techco (for 4 months) having a perfectly good running motor DESTROYED by Techco trying to tune my car like a Mustang would be tuned, Techco also found a way to yank the front fascia of my car and make a very feeble attempt at repairing. By the way, Techco also tried to tell me that my motor was injured when I dropped it off to them. hahaha They popped 7 fing pistons. NO WAY IN HELL did I have 7 injured pistons and make a 900+ mile drive (with my driving habits lol).

    This in NO WAY reflects on Carlos. Carlos was the only one who stood up and admitted the fault and was taking care of the situation. Until Techco began to crumble that is... Carlos is no longer employed by Techco, therefore has no say in what they do or don't do.

    So for the past near two months I have been emailing this Jimmy character only to NOT get responses unless I start threatening with legal terms. lol Jimmy has also pawned me off to some clueless lady named Mary. Of course Mary can not find any receipts or paper work from Carlos proving my claim. WTF? I call BULL SHIT! So, Mary shoves my back over to Jimmy. YIKES!

    By the way, I GAVE Mary all pertenent information, including Grip Tunings name since Carlos had already purchased the Fascia from them and had it drop shipped to my house. hmmmm

    So yea, back to the weasel Jimmy. I get an email (see below. It will be in bold) from Jimmy stating that Carlos did not follow company procedures with my claim, nor could Jimmy or Mary find any documentation supporting this claim. BULLSHIT! Emails are a wonderful documentation as are receipts from Grip Tuning with Techco's name (paid with a Techco Credit Card) and my name as the receiving party. lol Jimmy states because of this, Techco will NOT finish paying my claim. WTF? Since when is it the Customers problem that a Company is having internal policy issues? Yea, that's what I thought. haha

    Anywho, I take the steps and get a hold of Grip Tuning and explain to them what has been transpiring between Techco and me. Well the G.T. rep was very gracious and emailed the credit card receipt to Mary and Jimmy to show them that Techco was in the middle of taking care of their customer.

    I then email Jimmy and Mary last week Thursday. Today (Monday) evening, Mary sends me an email telling me she is not a Techco employee and that I must talk to Jimmy. WTF? If she is not a Techco employee, why in the F%$# was I having an email conversation with her? lol

    Anyway, I have also left Wayne (Owner of Techco) several voicemails on his cell phone and have yet to get a call back from that slime ball. WOW!

    Guess I will begin Small Claims procedings?


    *note* I have left the email off for the time being. Don't want to break any privacy act rules. lol

    By the way, please feel free to post up your experiences and stories.

    Only one who can delete is the staff. This section no longer controlled by Techco. They are NO LONGER a vendor here!

    Thanks Larry. I only scratched the surface with my dealings with Techco.

    I didn't even mention how they screwed over CMW. CMW was trying to FIX Techco's foul ups with my build, and Techco still found ways to SCREW CMW out of money. Not to mention absolutely NO communications with CMW on what could be causing piston failures everytime CMW added the blower. Yea, CMW went through 24 pistons before I finally gave Techco the ultimatum of working with CMW to resolve the issues...

    You know I feel your pain as you and I discussed issues and my deleting some negative posts on the forum I wrote in anger and frustration. Having to fight to be treated honestly and fairly and feeling helpless is more than frustrating. In all the time this project has dragged on I have said many times-- Grant me the serenity to accept what I cannot change. I've learned how to make that phrase work for my benefit. There is certainly nothing plain and simple doing a major build. But for all the bad experiences I must say people like Ram Clutch, Rockland Standard Gear, Stroud Safety, Builder Bill at Paramount Performance,Legmaker, and all the unnamed individuals who helped me to gain knowledge and understanding on the forums are my inspiration. We are all lucky to have these forums available!!! Even sometimes to let out some frustration and venting!!!!

    Absolutely Jim. I am certainly glad you were able to get while you could and make your build the best it should be.

    You have loads a great people and vendors making your vision a reality.

    Well I guess I won't be doing any business with Techo! LOL

    I'm really sorry to hear this tale Ron. I also hate Scotty and CMW getting fucked over. Some people just need a good ass whooping...or better!

    truthfully, the blower itself has been great for me. No real complaints there, but the tune Techco gave me, haha that's another story as well.

    Hey Ron, sorry to hear this happen. I know I was really scared to get stiffed also, luckly techco did come through and deliver for me. As I have told Jimmy, their move was really stupid and well to be quite honest I think if they every reopen there doors, it will be a battle. People like you and a few others went with their products to not only improve your car or what not, but to help push/race their product. Like I said, I got really lucky.

    the tune is crap, Brad. My readings are all over the place on my wideband. Yea, I know that the wideband will bounce around at idle and normal (out of boost) driving conditions, but it bounces up to 20.2 and back down to 13.1 constantly. Hell, even my old GSM tune with the Paxton didn't bounce that high. lol

    When I get into WOT, my wideband will drop down as far as 8.8. Typically fluctuates from 9.2 - 10.2 mostly.

    I did some data logging a while back, but I lost it last month when my OS (Vista) crashed. haha

    Will do another data log session once I figure out what I need to log. lol

    I am glad things worked out for you, and keep telling myself that my issue currently is pennies compared to you guys out there with motor issues.

    But then I remember that it doesn't matter on the cost, it is how the company handles it. Techco FAILS miserably with the way they are handling issues. Jimmy will be the death of Techco as he has NO clue how to manage a business. Jimmy is a puppet and doesn't have the ballz to make a decision. That's my opinion anyway.

    Techco crapped in my court. Carlos always came thru. Jimmy always gave me shit. I dunno ... I think I see a trend. Also, the blower has been great but the tunes are ass. Thats me. Preach on brother!

    Pretty much same here. I love my blower but my tunes are ass.. I went into limp mode 2 times this past weekend alone going to SoCal... If I could i would remove this blower and toss it through their window with a flaming bag of shit on their doorstep.... And if they do reopen here in Cali.. Trust me I will pay them a visit....

    That sucks big time Ron. I really hate when a cmpany doesn't back their product enough to make sure everything is good to go prior to getting it back to the customer and if there are issues down the road just pretty much saying screw it... I've already got your money. Hopefully these guys and any others who don't back their products and claims, take it up the arse big time in court.

    Ron, I feel your pain, and I agree with what you have said about Techco. I have posted my fuck story with Techco http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15466 the only thing that has saved me with Techco is Cam, not Techco. There is only one person, who is working for Techco, and I am not sure about him really working for Techco, and that is Jimmy. I think Wayne pays him an hourly salary for any work he does on behalf of Techco. I believe he is the only one at Techco left, and we have seen the last of that company in California.

    I had an isolated ETC light on, and have called Jimmy myself trying to get some resolve to this issue. As of today, I still have not had any help on this issue. If Techco was just relocating, number one they would not have let go all of their employees. I truly believe this is a company that has folded, and Jimmy is still only around to prolong their existence while Wayne tightens up the loose ends for the bankruptcy of Techco.

    Oh yes, I was a firm backer of Techco myself, bragging how I had been screwed by Techco. Well, the one deed that Carlos did for all of us was to have the foresight of making up these T-shirts. I had no idea at the time how true the logo would pan out. Well, I can repeat now with confidence that I have been screwed by Techco. The T-shirt will be a collector’s item, it’s too bad that GSM did not give me a similar T-shirt.
    My next step is to do what I do best as a Federal Government Investigator for 37 years, and that is build a case of evidence and facts for the lawyers.
