For those of you that have the tri A pillar gauge pod... how do you have it fastened to your OEM A pillar? Did you use the Black pins? Did you hide them in some way Did you get Tan ones? Did you spray paint the black ones tan? Did you use double sided adhesive stuff? just wondering how you guys did it...
Mine has the black pins in it...the place that put in the gauges did the pod for me, and they placed the black pins close to the edge, so you can't really see them...I've had it on for over two years, and can't really think of any time I've ever noticed them.
Stevo, if you out them close to the edge you wont see them the headliner should overlap to the point they are not really visable...why they dont make them tan to match is still beyond me
yeah thats what I did when i had the dual pillar.... I know I can hid the 2 on the bottom no prob...did you just put one up top? or did you put one on top? I dont see why you would need more than just the one....
YEAH!.... i like how i have my pillar rigged up to stay right now...true "redneck" fashion.... 2 paper cips bent like hangers....and a rubber band...OHHHH YEAH! (reason...i am waiting to install my boost and fuel pressure gauges...) FRIDAY BITCHS...this thing will be SUPERCHARGED FING FINALLY!
I bought a three gauge pillar pod set from friend that sold his car but haven't had them installed yet; wasn't sure how they mounted or IF they mounted over the old pillar or just replaced the pillar! ???
Pull your A pillar out....and where he has the holes drilled....drill holes into your a pillar... then you replace your a pillar. then put this over it...and put the little pins in there to keep it in place.
Thanks for the information!!! I'll probably wait until I find a mechanic I can TRUST to install because of all the wiring...etc!
