Yeah, I know how it works. But it doesn't work well. The atmospheric pressure is a variable that's used for setting the start point on the fueling tables. If its only sampled at ground level, then you'll be adapting from seal level, running richer and eventually rougher as you ascend especially if you bottom/top out the adjustment range of the short term adaptives. Then if you shut the car off and restart, the car will adjust the "center" point of tables for atmospheric pressure again and it will run better.

Ask Smosher about his trip up the grapvine north of LA with his Techco. He'll let you know that its a real issue and that the PCM doesn't fully compensate.

hmmm. good point! We only got one MAP sensor so it takes atmospheric pressure at key on, saves it, and then reads manifold pressure after that... I guess you should make a point of shutting it off when you stop for a leak. Seems like a bit of a fail. How are we supposed to compete at Pike's Peak?

Not really confusing Chase. Key factor here is the DA of 7K feet above sea level.

Yes, the Jeep has mid 12's up here as there are some minor issues in the tune that need to be resolved.

For Snehal's first two runs last night, he did a great job. And the consistency is obviously there.

Hell, the 1.8x 60's are pretty damn good for our track. lol

Ah, it's just tune. The data logs showed +/- 3% when it left here (read sea level here guys) and the data log he sent yesterday showed 10-12% out. There is not much timing in this tune and safe AF's. Now that he's home it'll get dialed in. It's making 5lbs of boost, so it's not blower or belt issues. It's like every other build, it just needs to get played with.

Also I just reringed her with revised gaps. The motor is fairly fresh.

It's got a lot more in it. Better to build up slowly than go for broke right off the bat.

Spot on man, great guys supporting me and helping me out, Cam has been the man since day 1. He went through alot of unnecessary crap with it. I can't wait till she's dialed in and we can see what she'll do up here.

There should be a law against posting numbers from a 7000 foot DA track ;)

I really dont imagine how sluggish that must feel racing in that kinda air.

Once you have the tune sorted, there is no doubt that puppy will rock. CTP FTW!!!!

My only advice to you really is to..............

    MOVE, lmfao.

Come out east so you can be really fast, hehe.

    See ya soon Dan. haha

Well of course we would have rather gone west, but the east is awesome as well.

The good news is, NO MORE nose bleed elevation. haha
