Brad brought us his Charger SRT8 to have some work done, so like always, I wanted to have a thread on this build with pics and information.

    Here's what we're installing ...
    • 426 Longblock (CMW)
    • Techco 3.0L supercharger
    • RDP 2800 stall
    • Quaife
    • Paramount axles
    • Magnaflow high flow cats
    • DMH exhaust cut-outs
    • Cragar catback exhaust
    • Labonte water/methanol injection with failsafe
    • Gauges - boost, air/fuel, EGT
    • Custom tune at Diablosport

I'm taking "good" pics for Brad to have for his records, but will post some iPhone pics here along the way for you guys to see.

    More to follow! :)

Here are some pics to start with. :)

    New longblock from CMW ...

Woa...is it less difficult to remove the motor this way rather than from the top without the tranny??

This is by far the easiest and quickest way to remove the motor, when you have a lift, anyway.

What6 exactly are you wanting to know? Motor? Blower? Install?

Brad has copied me (eeerrr I mean got the same setup as me lol) except that I believe Brad already got the CMW Camshaft?, which I do not have yet.

You really need to speak with the different vendors for pricing as each build is a lil different as far as need and wants go...

Way to go BMC, can't wait to finally see Brad's whip back on the road (or in 1bad4dr's OLD trailer going to a race. hehe).

Ron, yep I am following your template on the motor. The cam in it is the same stock cam that you have. I dont think CMW is ready with the cam yet, figured I would get this dialed in and figured out and then when appropriate, change the cam and retune.

If I was to state pricing it would be general and for everything....I got one of the first 4-5 Techco S/C's ordered it back in October of last year, so I got an intro price, etc....But everything else has been the more expensive route. I am not reusing anything from the old motor except water pump, bracketry, etc. I got a CMW long block with Stage 4 heads, oil pan, front cover, etc. When all done I will have the stock motor with only the water pump and bracketry missing. It will still have the PPP heads and intake that I put on 3 years ago.

    Kris:

Love the work so far!! I am excited! Taper bearing should show up tomorrow and Manley pushrods should be there too!!

Thank you Kris and Lisa!! NOICE!

I am pretty sure Brad will want to upgrade to a better tranny st some point. He already has the Builder Bill Axles....so a matching trans would go great!

Thanks!! I'll keep the pics coming for you! It was great to meet you Monday and Kris was glad also. He came in special to the shop on his way to work to meet you! :)

We're ready to drop the pushrods in and finish the top side, bushing will go in, then converter and tranny and back in the car she goes!

I agree! Maybe when he changes the cam later on we'll just have a new trans lying around ...

Have any Techco lx/ly cars ran faster than a mid 11 except Trojans?

This build has potential especially not being at 1,000,000ft DA like Ron.....and his laziness lol

I don't know, but it's totally possible. I ran 11.9 on 7 cylinders with the base boost Techco on my original 5.7 engine. I would think stroker + higher boost would get it down there. We'll find out with mine for sure. I'm not sure what Brad is planning re: drag racing.

Jeez...don't even have my car back yet and your calling me out...PUBLICLY....IN FRONT OF A FEMALE!!

Yes, I am taking the car to the track....never been down the shoot before. There is a 1/8 mile track about 3 miles from my work. They have test and tunes twice a week, I think its 25.00. Anyway, going to go there for a night or two (or more) and get my shit together on the staging, 60 foots, etc.

Now that I am the proud owner of the old 1BAD4DR Haulmark trailer, I can hit the big time down at Bradenton Motorsports Park, they have a legit 1/4 mile....

Then, if I am feeling froggy enough after that, I am heading across to Orlando to visit my boy, the famous and infamous LegMaker. Haven't see his car in too long and maybe if I talk the right amount of smack I can get him out on a track over there! I think I can....

    Will see what happens.......:p

Talking Chris in going to the track will be easy. Getting him to actually race, that's another story. hahahahahahahahahahahahaha Chris can handle his own on the 1320.

That's awesome, Brad!! Depending on when you pick her up, maybe we can hit the track here too! :)
