Hey guys got a buddy who is about to pickup a 08 SRT8 Challenger (black) only 3,000 miles. I'm not up to snuff on whats the latest and greatest for these but he does want to do exhaust and intake. I've read good things about the JBA exhaust? and AFE Stage II. So what do you suggest? Oh also have a buddy about to pick up a 300C SRT8 so are the mods for the Challenger going to be the same for the 300C?

Personally I loooove the way the MBRP sounds on the Chally, plus they have the best looking tips IMO...old school chally all the way. Lisa is running the MBRP on her Chally. Second favorite would be the Cragar/Zoomers, then the Corsa.

As far as intakes our best sellers are AFE, JLT Carbon Fiber and the Techco CAI

    lots of options wade........... lots.........

first decide if he wants loud, quiet, or in between. then pick components.

personally, i would say a cf hammer, but that would be a bit biased. lol might look into some fender mount system to keep iat temps down. as for exhaust, this is wide open!! i have a neighbor with a 08 srt chally that did a custom magnaflow mufflered system with 3" tubing and no reso's. all comes down to what you want.

I like the AE Carbon intake...exhaust, like Chris said, the best exhaust is in the eye of the beholder...I've had loud to holy shit loud on this car and now i'm back to stock cat back and Kooks catless mids....you'de be surprised how aggressive it is at WOT, and how quiest it is while cruising...still has a deep deep idle hearing it from behind, but up front, all you hear is the motor running....FOR ME, this is the best exhaust.

Thanks for all the input everyone. And Thanks Wade for posting the thread.
My roomate Chuck drove my SRTGC a few too many times and just had to go buy a chally. I'm taking him to pick it up tomorrow. It's an 08, with 3000 miles on it. He got a really good deal. I showed him this thread, and he said he wants medium loud exhaust.

I'll get some pics up when he gets it home.

Does anyone have pics of a murdered chally? He is undecided if he wants to go through with it.

Same here, i guess we're gettin old Chris. I love the quietness that I have now while cruising, and still have plenty of growl out back when I want to be heard...I will not change it again.

What sold me on it was KB running 700 plus hp through stock exhaust tells me it's pretty damn good for flow too.
