I have a definite knock coming from the oil pan (now that I have access to a lift) and none of it was cured with a new timing set, new oil pump and new CORRECTLY chamfered crank gear.

My motor is coming out, and the short block is hopping on a truck and going to be torn down at Arrington. Thanks Eric H for your support bro. I guess my engine oil sample was spot on!

Cool. Second fucking summer without my car. I am going to go duct tape my fingers to keep from typing what I really think about a certain couple of techs/mechanics' technical expertise.

Thanks Kyle!!! I had always hoped I was clear from the "crank gear chamfer" issue as it can really chew up your oil pump, and thereby your bearnings and I was an early install. A former employee of the install company assured me my crank gear/crankshaft issue was noticed and accounted for.
It was definitely noticed, just not accounted for.

Ok so guys that are dumb f*&k that did this and mess up some ones car. Its a small world and I know is being talked about but they did not hurt me I though that the word SRTCONNECTION meant that someone that owns a SRT can come here and get info on there car and venders not like LX and yes I said it. And now someone got realy played and no one wants to let new guys know not to use some vender? I am shocked and Sad tat I must pay of this info? If this company did this to me I would be yelling it so everyone could hear!

Did you read Jon's signature? That might give you a clue.

It's well known that Arrington's K-1 crankshafts where not all machined properly. Steve, SgtStanko has had all kind of posts about it. Jon got his from PPP and Steve and I got ours thru the GSM debacle. There was a supposed bulletin that came with the short blocks stating that you needed to check the crank to see if the crank gear fit properly. If it didn't, there was instructions on machining the gear at a 45 degree angle so it would slide all the way on. If you've looked at his posted pictures, you'll see that it appears that the gear was not machined properly or at least that's the way it appears to me. Steve's wasn't machined at all. We haven't taken mine off yet. It's leaving for Cam's in a few days via enclosed trailer. It hasn't been ran since April, and only has about 1000 miles on it. My issue is that if Arrington knew they had cranks that where machined improperly, they should have provided a machined gear with the short block instead of a bulletin.

Patience my good friend. Mistakes happen and I was an early build. I will let things play out and see how it is handled. Feel free to call me bud 307-371-4092. So far I have been happy with my installer.

Even if you installed the new chamfered gear and pump....its too late the damage is done. My bearings were potatoe chip thin!!

Is PPP going to warranty it?? Eric at Arrington took care of me.

What did they use to clearance the sprocket, a hand file? Looks suspect and armature at best...Or maybe its so rough from all the rubbing...regardless, I'm sure Arrington will get things straight....sux that you have to go so long again without your car though...Keep ya head up my brutha.

Priest and a Rabi walking down the street. Priest looks over at a bunch of little boys playing in the field, turns to the Rabi and says: “hey!, lets go fuck those little boys!!”. Rabi says sure!!! “outta what????!!!”

Hahaha, sorry Jon that just popped out.

I'm really bummed for you bud. But while it's down I would like to make a suggestion. I know you've been through the heads, but I think you should dig deeper while you have the time. Lets talk next week after I get some stuff done around here.
