I always thought it was neat that the weight - hp ratio was 10 to 1 (4250 - 425) and the dollar to hp ratio was 100 to 1 (42500 msrp). Granted the hp was flywheel and not rear wheel and most times we got ripped on the cost. Still, I have to wonder if that was a fluke or intentional.
Oh and I'm referring to the Charger specs. While googling Charger specs, I found this favorable review of the later Charger SRT-8s on Allpar.com of all places. http://www.allpar.com/reviews/2008/charger-SRT8.html Okay, what I can find says the '06 Dodge Charger SRT weighed 4160. I'm guessing that's the base model because I could swear that my fully loaded model was listed with a weight of 4250. Then again, the pregnancy nuked a few brain cells, so who knows. Still, nice weight - hp and most of all dollar - hp ratio, considering all the creature comforts that come with. As for the extra weight, if you dump the air conditioning bits, the sound system, all the sound dampening in the car, the sunroof, the backseat, the front passenger seat, it might help. We also have a mother of a battery in the trunk too.
yep my car was 4430 do you have the "full options" list? I have all the options and rear seat DVD so i figure mines as heavy as they come "stock"
I believe the factory spec weight is without fluids. I've never personally weighed my car, but when asked, 4500 pounds with me in it (200 pounds), is what i say. It's an educated average of what I've seen posted, and not any two cars will weigh exactly the same. Personal belongings, fluid amounts vary, and options. As far as a diet, not much to lose...You can do lighter wheels, remove all personals, remove all things in trunk (stereo equip included), remove all passenger seats, and go on a diet your self. About it.
The biggest thing to blame is crumple zones and all the reinforcement needed to meet USA DOT standards.
dahahahahahhaa...... first, you bring over an inside joke from lxf.... second, you bring over the joke and use red font!!! dahahahahahaha (man i love my son for catching this!!!) who loves ya nate!!!!!
4495 with me at 180 and well over 1/2 tank of gas. Every option except the rear seat video. Must be that dang sunroof!
Good thing our rides don't have those "child bearing hips" we always hear about... All kinds of new things added in newer cars... guess every little bit adds up quickly.
