Done with the head/header/intake manifold gaskets, shorties, plugs, exhaust, wideband AFR gauge, and air intake...Not easy, but it was fun...looks and sounds really nice...haven't driven it on the road yet, will soon.
Thanks Cam...Up until recently, about 8 months....I just began messing with it again. It's like falling in love all over again.
$63.75 in sand paper and 8 months of hand rubbing . Looking good Kyle. Does that AFR gauge log? It goes steady at WOT but nice to look at a log later to see if you missed any bumps while looking out the windshield.
I'm on 5 months this time. I'd guarantee my car has been out of commission for than anyone here. Probably more than 2 or 3 of you put together. Not proud of that record. Glad to see your back up and running Kyle.
Thanks!...It's not polished...its Near Chrome powder coat. No, no logging capabilities, but it is very easy to calibrate, and recalibrate...works well. I need to lean up a bit, running 12.0-12.3 right now. I have every intention. Nah, i gotcha...when Dick Head in Houston had my car, it was 16 months. Glad to be rollin again.
Maybe in one stretch, but between AZ Power & Sound, GSM, and my current problem, it's around 3 years away from me. Either way, it sucks for both of us Kyle
Sounds perfect to me. What are you shooting for? and you did get an extra bung installed when the wideband went in right? You could put an EGT gauge in that empty socket on the A-pillar .
Fa show my brutha...Hurry up! 12.8ish :thanks: but, reserved for nitrous pressure gauge. We have a very good tuner in town that has a mooosetang background , but very, very respectable with tuning and know his shit. He got the CMR software last month and has been studying the software...he's tuned a few moderately modded cars so far, and is looking for someone like me...they have an open house and swap meet tomorrow at their shop, and personally asked me to attend. I'll be there, so im'a go and talk.
Kyle, am I missing something?? I thought you were blown?? I know I'm stupid, but I don't see a blower under there......if there's a link to a thread that explains all this, you can just post that. Sorry to resurrect old demons, but I could have sworn you were supercharged.
Puff puff give...don't bogart dude! Nah, Chase, you're mistaken, never took the S/C route because of tuning issues. Even still, i don't feel comfortable with part throttle boost. Plus, i love me some giggle juice. That's my usual route of a power adder. Reasons are: Cost...It's there when you want it, and not when you don't...It's less abuse on the motor overall... it's tunable by ME... and if I want more power, a jet change takes 10 minutes... I haven't put the gas to it yet because I have never felt my motor/tune was where it needed to be to accept the extra power...I am meeting with a very good tuner this evening and have plans for many dyno sessions and dial it in to a nats ass. I also need rear shafts and tranny, THEN i'll start thinking more power...Trying to put the horse before the cart, plus keep my wife happy. (which is a challenge in itself)
