what do you guys think about this? thinkin about gettin one. cant find too much for them other then exhaust. should be a nice car for the twisties though and its definately got some sex appeal to it as well.:tropicalwind:
meh...i never did like porche's...i dunno why...just never did...i think the 300 is better...but again...thats just my opinion
I put about 10 buses on one that was tuned and had exhaust. Sweet cars though, wouldnt mind having one. I heard a rumor they were coming out with a fast one next year...Turbo it think??
turbo would be nice, considering they only have 295 hp on the s but their light as all-get-out. i think id have to test drive one first.
cool cars, but i just can't see myself dropping the needed coin on something i can not put anyone else in!!!!
I was seriously contemplating one before I got my SRT...great car, but I think I will hold out for a 911 down the road.
all good points but single guy here, dont have the pretty family that you have so its not an option. the only thing keeping me from it is if it is a.) slow as balls or b.) un-moddable. if i can get one for around low 40's then id do it.
good point as well but this is going to be my daily driver so i dont need anything crazy. or as crazily expensive as a 911.
Cayman is one of the best lookinc cars Porsche has built in years. My all time favorite though is the widebody 993. I've had mine over 5 years now (a record for me) but I may sell in the Spring as I focus more on racing the SRT-8. Wanna nice (VERY nice) used 911? Man - I just love those lines!!!
if you were closer to me i might take ya up on it! but your right, beautiful car indeed. saw one yesterday and i was really taken back by it so thats what made me begin my inquiry. how is the quality? any particular problems that plagued your 911?
why thanks markus!!! as for your points, all good and if i was in your shoes, i might think a bit different and more along your lines. either way, i do think the car is pretty sweet and you will certainly be big pimpin in it!!! hahahahaah
It's a 1996, and the only problems have been due to lack of use. No real issues. 54,000 miles. Still worth a huge % of what it cost new - even 12 years after it first saw the road. They only made 2,000 of mine over a three year period. It's a C4S, which is the 4 wheel drive widebody car. I'd be shocked if you actually saw one on the road. After 5 years of ownership, I've still only seen 3 others in person.
so you would say overall porsche is good quality? i was browsin around last night on a cayman forum and all anybody seemed to talk about were minor little problems.
yeah but markus, thats all you see on any forum!!! when i first started hitting the forums after buying the charger, all i read about was tsb after tsb issue!!!
unfortunately i couldnt find anything in regards to engine mods. cai, exhaust is ALL i could find. nothing as far as cam's, blowers, anything like that. depressed me a lil' bit.
I'd say among the exotic, or near exotic cars, Porsche has a reputation for being the most reliable, least expensive to maintain of any of the cars. My knowledge is limited on the newer stuff though. Go to rennlist.com for info. It's the best Porsche-based forum.
no way!!!!! i thought you guys were all good....... btw, i have not been up north.....ever....... :thumb: that surprises me a bit. did you look into ruf or any of the other tuners????
