just what the title says, lol. if there is enough interest in these i cam make a group buy on them. they would not be anodized that is someting that i did just for myself. i anyone is interest just let me know.
OK... inlightin' us "not so automotive idiots"... I'm assuming better than stock for sure? Stronger? ...and most important... will they work for my nees? Oh, and that little thing of cost as well...
they help keep the rocker arm in place, the stock piece is just a spring clip. i can show you next time your over.
They are MUCH stronger than the stock pieces. After my last cam change, we noticed that the wear pattern on the rocker was wider than the valve tip diameter, indicating that the rocker arm was moving around laterally. The collars lock the rocker in place to prevent this. They should also help to reduce valve train energy loss. A rocker that is moving sideways doesn't push down squarely on the valve tip so you can lose some valve lift from it. Plus, they're just some damn sexy motor pieces.
Ya... too bad you haven't made those clear covers yet! Any chance of a slight power loss with them due to friction of the exra pieces attached, or does the lack of movement more than make up for it?
Just use some of that clear carbon fiber with mostly resin! Comon' Chris... thought you knew everything.... geeeesh!
