Folks, Guy at work has a '66 Mustang and wants it painted stock white (Wimbeldon White). Little body work preparation needed. Its white right now, but needs new paint. Need suggestions. He wants a place that is REASONABLY priced. Thanks!
Nice and Easy on Main St. They are not "Earl Shives, but you won't get a $10,000 paint job there either...
There was a guy in National City back in the late 60's who did lace and metal flake. He was going to do my 55 Chevy with the 426 in it for $500.00, Was going to to it in candy purple.
He was doing quite a bit of drugs. Mostly LSD and weed. You know doing lots of drugs makes you sterile. Really, MoMo, really. lol And yes, he did that too. Although that didn't really come on strong till the 70's. He did a few. He was doing a 40 Willys coupe with lace and green metal flake the last time I was there.
You guys just have to remember that when Hal wa growing up... all the cars were black... Model "T", Model "A"... these new colors really fascinate him!
That's why I'm still driving black. Thanks for the compliment flattery. But I am that old. I was in the Navy and stationed at 32nd St. in San Diego from 1968 to 1970.
