Well shit, sorry to hear that...post up when the problem is resolved, i'm very curious. I know all to well how it goes...I've had my motor out 4 times, car was down for a year and a half...just letting you know, it could be worse. Take a break from it for a bit and let it be someone elses problem, it can burn you out quick when things don't go as planned. Good luck with it, it will work out, just be patient.
YOU/WE may never know, but someone will. Could be as simple as torque converter lock up clutch...If they can't find anything wrong mechanically with the valve train (coil bind), rotating assembly, or cam (like bearing fits out of tolerance), it points to the converter...thermal expansion should always be considered, but it may have been a bad bearing fit somewhere. Damn...I was sure it was a bad signal from O2's...tough luck dude...but you're in great company.
Actually when i get home Im going to remove the plugs, put a TQ wrench on it.Then Im going to remove the TC bolts and see if it makes a difference..
Shouldn't their be a difference regardless...if you had something to compare it to, that would help. Hey, could you start it with the converter unbolted?
wow scott...... guess my thoughts were way off!!! lol btw - ron is an ass....... nothing like kicking a man when he is down..... norunning4dr....... that is just...well..... actually that is funny as hell!!! dahahahahahaha no worries scotty, you got a ride to the shin dig and a room as well!!!! see ya this friday!!
Before you rip the motor out, unbolt rockers and test again. Rule out the valve train. If still same, you know you have a rotating assembly problem, if it gets easier, you have a valve train or cam problem, which is easier to fix than pulling the motor out.
Agreed,Already have done that,The problem doesnt show its face until the motor gets warm 160*-180* The heads have already been removed once, the cam was reinstalled. The heads were removed and sent back and checked. When the cam was re-installed the short block was rotated, then the passenger side valve train was added and rotated then the driver side etc. Everything felt good until started and brought to operating temp.. Anyways its in PPPs hands now Im done wrenching on it.Thanks for the advice
see answer below...... lol not just johan..... but you too snookems!!! :huglove: only issue is i have a ton of things to do while i am down there!!! lol we are never done wrenching....... it is in our blood!!! lol
