Here are the first two sets out of powder coat. Please excuse that tacky display, but it'll have to do [IMG]

Here is the candy red that is an exact match to my system. The color/lighting doesn't make it look like it really looks, but it looks alright. [IMG]

These are the filler plates that go above the filter support to shield it from direct water from up top and stop that nasty, power robbing hot engine air from being sucked into your motor. [IMG]

And now for the infamous black chrome.

And I suppose your asking why is it infamous??. Well I'll tell ya.

This will the first and last time I ever do black powder coat on anything. [IMG]

I'd imagine that if you caught it at 4:03pm, on the third month of aqueerius, when the sun is lined up in uranus and made sure to guide the little guy down your left pants leg..

    it'd resemble black chrome. [IMG]

But it's not working for me. It has the slighest green tint, the color collects in the corners and highlight certain things. Luckly, most of that will never be seen unless your the installer.

But I need to add for whatever it's worth, I'd run it on my car in a heartbeat with all black fitting, it'd be sick!.

    They look great Cam.

My guess is either the AIT Sensor or for a Meth/N2O fitting?

On the red set, the IAT is down on the drivers side right at the bottom.

The BC set has the IAT close to stock on the bottom of the tube so it doesn't show.

And that there one might, just could be, MAYBE for a little giggle juice :D

What would happen if you ground those welds down perfectly smooth?

and one thing you haven't mentioned yet. What does it SOUND like?

Which welds ae those??. There are three joints for each tube and they're smoothed inside and out. Not including notching the diameter in three spots so the butt joints match properly. Lotta work in them boys that doesn't show.

ya know, I don't know, I do know my car is loud as hell getting on it. Maybe we can get Dan to do a before and after vid.

Oh shit Dave, I know what you talking aout. Here's the deal. That's a trade off and granted, it would look a whole lot better with it smoothed. But all the work is done inside to flow the air better. And if I were to grind those welds down, it would make the tube to thin at those joints.

No bullshit, but in all honesty it is a performance first mod that I can still make look cool. If someone were to request the exterior smoothed, I would have to do a bunch of welding on the inside joints, which would hurt the flow.

Gawd I hope your not naked right now ;) LMAO!

Thanks bud, ya should just give in and start looking at colors now..hahahaha :friends:

And luckily for my keyboard, I'm not naked now.......but I'm sitting outside on a beautiful Alabama night, smoking a fat spicey cigar, drinkin my share of Sam Adams, and listening to some Ray LaMontagne.......
