I had time today to install one of the new style catch can brackets from BT. Since I have a twin-cai I can not use the same mounting area to install my catch can like everyone else can use. When Heidi showed me the bracket BT made for the JeepSRT's I knew that bracket would work perfectly for my catch can. This is what the new style BT catch can bracket looks like. This bracket mounts to an existing hole/thread on the stock engine block and lets you mount a catch can sideways. Here is my BT catch can mounted with the new BT catch can bracket. From the picture above, in order to get my catch can to fit between my custom engine plates and the Twin-cai. I had to add a 1/2" steel spacer and use a bit longer screw so the hose on one side of the catch can did not rub the engine plate. Circled in green (below) you can see the 1/2" spacer. No kinks in the hoses, smooth flow, super easy install. Will be even easier with the new style catch can bracket to empty the old oil out of the catch can.
very nice!!! i know when i did the s/c install, the bov took up the area where my catch can had to go. scott showed me this, but it still would not work. i used the "other" new mounting bracket from BT that cam designed!! BT ftw!!!
Thanks bro..... I saw that bracket CAM designed but the way I had BT previously engrave my catch cans, using CAMs bracket my catch can would have read upsidedown. This new (Jeep) bracket works perfectly for me with my Twin-Cold Air Intake.
Yea, I am in the same boat as you, Mark. Because I had to mount my Catch Can where the "Old" window washer bottle was, my engraving is unique to my mounting place. lol The Maggy's engine bay looks awesome. I don't think I have ever seen pix of it. As usual Mark, you impress.
