i was actually impressed with how much i was able to help chris yesterday I did more than just hold lights! hahahaha.... with the exception of a little SNAFU with a jack that lead to the car coming down on my hand...it went fairly well....some rusted bolts gave us some issues...but nothing that was not expected
So lets hear everyones thoughts.... I am dropping the compression to 9 to 1 but adding a HHP Stage 1 Cam and Kooks.... Any guess what the difference in HP will be from the 386 I dyno'ed at with this setup? (either gains from the new stuff or losses from the compression drop?)
I think 9:1 CR is over kill unless you plan on pushing 25 - 30 psi out of the Vortech... Congrats Steve, I know you have been semi patiently waiting to begin this build.
How do you change your mind at the last minute and decide to go 9:1. Throw on a couple of extra head gaskets?
What's the displacement? And yeah, 9:1 is pretty low. I stuck with 10.3:1 on my forged motor. It should be here sometime in July. If I do end up moving back to the east coast, I'd love to run your car heads up. We're going to end up with very similar rides...you must be a pretty smart dude.

You dont...its been in the plan for a while now...just took a shit ass long time to get to the install point lol I cant take credit for anything but signing the check LOL...I tell chris what I want my car to do...he tells me what to buy...i buy it and help him install Which important shiny part ya talking about haha seriously haha...its gonna be waiting for the NEXT one thats gonna kill me!! hahahaha (this is part 1...part 2 is the s/c which will be done after the motor is NA tuned and good to go ) Just walked in the door from chirs's house....the motor is in...hes bolting stuff back on right now...when I head back over in the AM if it hasnt been fired up tonight it will be then...i should be on the road for NY by mid day KB rocks my socks yeah hes a bad ass dude!!!!:friends:
