With my Charger 90% finished, I wanted to give my daily driver MagSRT some mod love. A few months ago I got a new rear spoiler from 402 for my Magnum. After installing it, I felt the rear end of the Magnum was not finished. Since the Magnum is my daily driver I can not be without the Magnum for too long, no extended stays at the painters shop. So I am breaking up the paint work into 2 parts. I just got my Magnum back from the painters yesterday.

    Part 1:
    • Shave the rear hatch handle and rear wiper arm hole (been wanting to do this since summer 06).
    • Shave the chrome strips from the rear fascia
    • Paint the lower rear fascia piece (black plastic) in matching body color
    • Paint the roof gutter pieces in matching body color
    • Paint the front windshield strips (black plastic) in matching body color.
Here is the new (Back Dat Azz Up) rear end of my MagSRT.

Rear hatch handle, rear wiper arm hole and chrome strips on rear fascia all smoothed clean.

    Part 2: Hopefully soon.
    • Shave the chrome strips on the front fascia
    • re-paint aftermarket hood with a new two-tone paint scheme.
    • paint A,B,C pillar pieces in gloss black, on the side windows.
    • Add the LED side mirror covers.
    • Black horizontal billet grills for the front fascia.

    Thanks Albert

I know what you mean, the Magnum is not for everyone. But I love wagons. But I do also own a car I think you will like, hope so, as you own the same car, lol.

    That looks great!

(Sadly, all my gutters and rubber window trim has started to fade... I was in denial and that made me think about it again).

How do you close the rear hatch? Do you actually have to touch the paint with your hands? or did you put 2-way hydraulics on a remote control?

Love all the little details you put into your cars Mark. If I ever make it out there I have to see your rides in person. Outstanding again!
