Alright big news, tonight. Madeline stood up on her own and remained standing for about 30 seconds. Just long enough for me to get my camera phone out, camera program loaded and THEN she dropped down to her butt and wouldn't do it again. So when I do get a photo, it'll be posted. Still, very happy to see she's progressing and also cracking the whip on throwing stuff out and child-proofing!! :maddy:

Oh and over the weekend Maddy's started actually giving things back or handing them to me instead of taking everything. She's also started responding to basic statements like "come here" or "give me that" or "stop". Still no English speaking, but she understands what we're saying and even laughs at appropriate times. The last big hurdle with her preemie-ness is language and learning so I'm watching closely.

Buncha new photos off the iphone. The first three are from the 20th, kind of our new morning ritual, hang out in mine and marc's bedroom and watch nick jr's playdate and wait on Marc to get a break off the phone. The next two are from the 23rd, trying to capture her first standing moments (fail!) and the last gazillion are from today just for fun.

Alright, given that my bizillion baby pictures aren't really car relevant, I'm going to retire these threads on the forums and just share pics on Facebook. Thanks for all the kind words, support and interest.

Get outta here. I've been following the threads! And how much of what we talk about here is car relevant anyways? My baby is the most car relevant thing in my life. Since we decided to have Tisha be a stay at home mom....I ain't getting any mods! I'd say babies are directly relevant to my car! LOL

    Keep em coming!

Eh, I guess its SAHM syndrome...I drive the car only for doctor visits and trips to the in-laws (think once every two weeks) and all I can talk about is the baby. I remember how I thought my mom was the most boring person on earth and now I'm her. I figure rather than boring up the forums, I'd quarantine that over on facebook.

SAHM took me a second to figure it out! LOL

Tisha has had her moments being a SAHM the past six months. All her friends work and I was gone from New Year's to mid April. When I got home and was in a pretty intensive school, I'd get home and the last thing I wanted to do was sit down and talk. I quickly realized that she has been with a two year 24 hours a day for the past 4 months and NEEDED some daily interaction with an adult..her husband no less.

My neighbor who we hang out with a lot is a SAHD (dad). His wife is on deployment and yesterday he made a comment about money....and said "well, that's not true....I don't work!". I said "my ass you don't work. I baby sat my daughter for six hours one day and just about lost my mind....YOU earn your keep buddy!".

Yeah, its a whole other world... At least Madeline seems to have similar tastes. Dora and Diego bore her to sleep and she likes the engine noise from Nascar and I caught her smiling/dancing at one of those Subaru drift ads the other day...there's hope. And I know eventually this phase will pass and she'll have no time for me. But right now its like watching molasses drip AND some sort of bootcamp. Plus I'm trying to figure out what the eff is up with my diabetes. I tweak one setting a little and some days I'm having low blood sugar at lunch, others I'm having high as hell blood sugars. Oh and somehow I think I'm having that hormone addled state where I think I want another baby. Yar!

    See? Boooooring....

My daughter turns 3 in few months, and I'm the one thinking I want another one. I turn 40 in November. My wife thinks I'm high! But, she is sooooo much fun right now. I taped KISS on American Idol last week and Gabrielle can't stop watching it. Don't get me wrong, she still loves Dora, Diego, Ni Hao Kailan (however you spell it), Blue's Clues, Wonder Pets, etc! LOL. But, last night when my wife put her to bed she asked Tisha to sing her some songs. They sang twinkle twinkle, old McDonald.....and then Gabrielle asked her to sing "Rock and Roll all night".....my wife sang it to her! LMAO

I had to listen to that damn song six times on the way to Trader Joes earlier.

Yeah, the only thing that calms Madeline out of a rage (she detests being woken up before she's good and ready) is singing a song. My repertoire consists of ABC and American Pie (Don McClean) but both seem to work. But yeah, I'm actually really starting to enjoy her. Maybe not the tendency to kill anything electronic just by touching it, but yeah, she's awesome to me.
