I must say I'm impressed with the new M3. The car I messed around with only had a cat-back exhaust and aftermarket wheels on it, but was very quick on the top-end. He got the jump on me at about 50MPH and it took me all of 2nd gear and into 3rd before I reeled him in and started to pass him. We then lined up and ran from about 30MPH...I was in 1st gear in autostick and he got a very slight jump on me. I caught him by the end of 1st gear and then pulled him pretty good through 2nd gear and into 3rd. With a few more mods on the M3...it would be a very close.
well i havent had mine on the street yet due 2 it not bein registerd (thanks 2 nfcu for not releasin the lien) so i havent had any kills....but i heard the new m3s are suppose 2 b monsters
never got to be around or in a new m3 yet, but they are gorgeous and have pretty impressive numbers to back them. i did drive my dads 09 c63, and thats a great ride so i can imagine the m3 is just as fun.
When I was up in the Seattle area from Jan to Apr there was a new white M3 in the same parking garage. I used to walk by it and drool everyday.
i was at the movie theater a few months back for the bond movie and had a new m3 owner compliment me on my ride before i even saw what he was driving. he was small and asian (par for the course here in the bay with m3 owners) and had a small asian gf. i dont think i could fit in one of those very well. i told him that i liked the m5.
steve .. you better get your sig pic back up!!! paxton .. good runs man, I'm surprised you had such a hard time with your mods .. you said if the M3 had more mods it woulda been closer .. think about if you had less mods .. might be an ugly situation .. nice runs at that though .. be safe down there in DE man. dont make me come down there!

No M3 has a chance now the M5 maybe be and I say maybe! We know each other so I don't want to fight with you but a M3 is not anything to fear. I run with alot of cars as you know maybe the driver but there is nothing that scares me unless it costs 100G or is a CTSV!! All the other cars I have run and made to look sad!!!
The M3's up top are very quick. I wasn't sure if he was going to go or not so he jumped about a car on me at 50MPH. I caught him after kicking down into 2nd gear and got into 3rd. I was starting to pass him by, but had to let off. If I was able to wind out 3rd gear and into 4th, I would've stomped it into the ground. From 1st gear, I had no problems with it and pulled him hard in 2nd and into 3rd. In reality...he wasn't very close. With that said....I think a mildly modified SRT8 will beat one, but not by much. I was able to check his car out closely afterwards and they're beautiful up close. Not much of a backseat, but still very nice.
Why does EVERYONE get the "jump" on you?!?! Seems no matter how ready you are being in the proper gear and waiting to go ... you STILL give up the hole shot! Wth?!?! You can't drive worth beans. I've said it before and I'll say it again Ditchboy ... Pax = Fail!!:thongue2:
Most of the time...I let them, especially if I know I'm much quicker than they are!LOL Other times I'm in drive(if its at high speed) and if they decide to punch it, then I punch it also. When that happens in drive, then you get that dreaded delay before it kicks down. I can drive toolboy...to bad your out in Cali land though or I'd show you!:bigwink:
ummmmm, i will have to politely disagree with you on this one claude.... early models of the m3 i would agree, but the latest incarnation is a VERY quick car. line one up against a similarly modded srt and you will be surprised. hell, i have watched 335's run consistent 12.9 - 13.1 at the track.....and the m3's are even a hair faster...... i do not know many mostly stock srt's running faster than 12.8...... oh yeah, steve...... you only pulled this guy in the m3 because he was slowing to get a chance to look at your pretty car!!! lol

I'm sure she'll stretch! :zorro: I would agree, however, a new M3 is $70-75k. A $75k SRT8 is going to have a 426 and a blower and is going to crush any of either M3 or M5's. Even if you get into mod-for-mod, an M3 is a thousand pounds lighter. Add a 1000 pound weight to the trunk of the M3 and let's see how quick they run.

You can't tell how fast a car is anymore, not with all the mods avail nowadays for all cars as well as a totally inconspicuous little thing known as NITROUS, ANY CAR CAN BE HELL OF FAST and you wouldn't know it! Idiot. Racing 101 ditchboy, look it up. :dumb: :grin: Oh and Chris is right and so is Reacher, those M3s are hellafast, 335s are hellafast and run just like Chris said and the M3s are even faster. But like Reacher said, add 1000 lbs or give us another 30-40 Gs to spend and we'll see who's fastest.:smart:
